-- I feel like they should go a bit darker and the dialog seems to hold back at times, especially for something called "Not For Broadcast," but overall, I really like it. The live action video is really good, the small challenges that have you choosing clips that seemlessly transition to change what the video feed will show is VERY well polished. I'm really looking forward to the finished game!
This is such a great game, with all the hilarious video material.... it's just not fun to play.
Or rather, it was fun in the beginning and I looked forward to the difficulty slowly ramping up. Unfortunately the difficulty doesnt really increase, not organically at least. It increases by way of artificial irritating stuff such as lightning making some buttons dangerous to press and rampaging toys attacking the signal tower. I endured these, hoping for some more realistic challenges that feel more fitting for a live editing room. Later one of the toys came into the editing room, and same as before I had to listen to the conversations going on and changing the cameras or bleeping explitatives, while also checking the signal tower if toys were climbing it. But at the same time I also had to contend with a toy in the room constantly jumping around, turning off equipment and being a huge nuisance. Then I realised that I wasn't having fun at all, this was just irritating, so I noped out.
Really too bad, such a great idea for a game, but it feels like the developers were so afraid that players would find working in an editing room for a live newshoow boring, and maybe some would, but I think it sounds super exciting. Something I have never done before. Unfortunately this game doesn't scratch that itch.
In parts trashy, it's a dark parody on current politics and social norms. It is VERY british (as far as I can judge). Can't wait how it will evolve in the coming parts. :) This is something different!
This game was very engaging with the interviews and the banter between the reporters or the ads their was always something to listen to or pay attention to with this game. I never felt board and they always gave new aspects to the job every episode. My only complaint is that after the new thing comes it almost always immediately goes away so as you get the hang of it you never get to use it again. I suggest a mode where the fan, the tower zapper, the snugglehugs, and the audience responses (plus whatever you add in part 3) are all active and you have to maintain all of them while trying to have a good broadcast. Could be something like nightmare mode or something, might be neat. Either way this game was very interesting and I can’t wait for part 3.
Good but limited with promises of future development
Very fun first few episodes (3/10) but no new releases for 3 months. Next release is due in Autumn 2020 if it hasn't been delayed by various things.
Caveat emptor.
