Great Game and Developers are relentless

This game is amazing, despite having a rough start the developers (Keep in mind its a small team of around 20) have been keeping to their word and updating it constantly from the huge updates to the hotfixes which have been plentiful since the beyond update they have made the game into something totally different from day 1. I think reviews from those still salty about the initial release should be disregarded ad this game now is totally different, Hello games could have just moved on but no they stuck to their guns and worked their backsides off and this should be commended rather than focusing on the initial realease. everyone deserves a second chance and the devs have certainly taken this by the horns. I wil admit this game wont be for everyone there is a certain calmness vibe to the whole game, its not about fighting and action but rather exploration, expanding, crafting, base building and finally decent multi-player, while still having a story element to provide some context, none of which was in version 1.0 While this update has bought some bugs, to some users, my experience has been perfect and with constant fixes this game will be stable for all very soon. Now is the perfect time to jump into this massive game if your looking for a more relaxed adenture into deep deep space

Definitely worth grabbing If discounted!

I owe The game for more then a year And while at The begining i was mostly frustrated still The game keeps me interested. Game is on constant decelopment And The quantity of content that is added in major updates is huge. If its get you frustrated for some reason then just wait a few months And you can be sure that frustrating Bugs will be gone And some new stuff will await for you to play with :) I’m generally very satisfied with This purchase, especially that i’ve bought it on discount. Thumbs up Here!

Exploring, building and upgrading

No Man's Sky (NMS) is a pretty good game in 2019. It's a game about exploring space, planets and building stuff on procedurally generated worlds. Tons of free updates have added lots of good things to this game, like new missions (questslines), crafting and gameplay tweaks. Submit yourself to the (minor) grind of NMS to escape the daily grind of real life. The game starts out as a survival game. You constantly need to scavenge resources with your mining laser, find oxygen and earn credits just to stay alive. Life support and the mining laser drain fast and your inventory will always be full. Not enough money to buy a new (or extra) ship, no blueprints available for constructing a nice base and pirates keep shooting you up. Half the time is spent recharging equipment and mining resources, the other half running from agressive sentinels, wildlife or pirates. The mid game looses this survival aspect. You can warp to an almost infinite amount of star systems, build some pretty decent bases and combat becomes easier. Inventory upgrades combined with life support and environmental shielding make the enviroment a lot more manageable. The game casually introduces multiple ships and frigates, which can go on adventures while you do other stuff. As you progress towards the end game, which will take at least 50-100 hours when playing causally, the game really starts to shine. Credits roll in and you realize spending a few grand on resources every now and then will save you the trouble of manually mining. Bases start to look beautiful as you unlock more base parts. There are tons of different parts, from small decals and little rooms to large glass domes and landing pads to beautify your base. At this stage the game becomes a relaxing exploration game. Own multiple ships, vehicles, farms and even underwater bases. What's not to like? The game will stutter heavly at times. Quests will break, even main questlines sometimes get stuck, although I always found a workaround.

An Galactic Adventure...

No Man's Sky is free-roam adventure on a galactic scale. Tens of thousands of light-years of possibilities. No two systems will be exactly alike, and each planet or moon I visit gives me a reason to explore it, even if only to look at cool stuff. Also, it's easily mod-able. Hello Games has put A LOT of love and hard work into NMS. It's constantly updated and bug-fixed, and all of the new content is added as an update, rather than as a purchasable DLC. That alone should earn them some major kudos. This game is worth the asking price, if only for the replayability and active support. NMS records everything I discover, and relays that information in an instant. That alone is impressive, considering everything there is to see. I am always in awe entering a new system and exploring new places. The scenery is incredible. Some places actually feel hostile and dangerous, impossible to live in for any period of time. Others are peaceful and lively, and I find myself spending more time exploring than being productive (I regret none of it). I like to get lost while spelunking or diving, even just flying around. I've got a base in a deep ocean cavern inside a huge crater, and another on a tropical paradise surrounded by flora and fauna. The soundtrack is beautiful. The ambience makes things feel alive (or not). I discovered an "Empty" planet, and it felt so lonely and quiet that it was frightening. I got accosted by a sea monster, and the sound it made after it quietly snuck up behind me almost made me mess myself. I heard a loud cry in the distance, and when I followed it I found a heard of grazing critters. If all you want to do is freely explore at your leisure, Hello Games has given us Creative Mode, which makes everything free and removes the story elements. Absolutely free-roam. This is top-tier simulation, at it's finest. I didn't spend $60 on NMS, but if I had I would still feel like a kid in a toy store. Worth every penny, and then some. Extremely satisfied.
