Great Action Platformer for the price
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is a tough, fast paced throwback that has some new features that keeps the difficult challenging, but always fair. On the technical side, the game is locked to 60, and seems to accept all the standard controller types. Performance was rock solid across the board. The music sets the tone well, it's beautiful in motion, and the controls are smooth like butter. The story is bare bones, but it keeps the pace going and helps cement the feeling how overcoming hardship like a real ninja. Bosses are tough as nails but gratifying to overcome, and Hard Mode ups the ante for everyone looking for a real challenge. My only complaints is that the game's ending seemed to come a bit too suddenly? Or a least for the Chapters to be divided among more than four sections (each section has multiple chapters). But that is the most minor of nitpicks. As it stands, if any of the trailers, artwork, or gameplay footage is appealling to you, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is well worth your time and money.
