METAL GEAR SOLID

The game is perfect, but..... where is the ITALIAN LANGUAGE??? In the 1998 version there was in it! please, patch this game with all languages like the ORIGINAL VERSION!

The game seems fine, read other reviews here. I can't play this game because of how terrible the inputs and configuration are. First, you can't interact with the menus/UI using the dpad (I use a standard Xbox One controller, so nothing weird); only the left analog stick. If you want to use the dpad you'll need an external tool to remap your buttons. The default key for "accept" in the start menu is "X" on the Xbox One controller. (At least "Cancel" is still "B", but...) When you go into the menu to customize the inputs, you don't get any named inputs and you don't get any kind of indication of a came controller. You get "Button 3", and it's up to you to know which button number is the "A" button; and also up to you to decide which action "Button 6" should map to. There's no representation of where the buttons map on a controller, and there's no display of the named button inputs. The menu doesn't even let you hold down the analog stick to scroll through inputs faster. This is the worst kind of "programmer UI" I've ever seen in a released software. You're better off buying an old PlayStation and getting a copy of the game. Normal users are going to be completely lost on this hot garbage port.

What's wrong with the gaming community in the recent years? Some dev is selling an old game for 10 dollars without bothering to include a patch to fix the technical problems and you guys are giving a positive review? Seriously let the people know that they won't install and play. This game include a nice black bar in the bottom that won't go away with the usual known methods. You definitely need to download a program from the internet and spend some time working with the problem. Sorry, I won't pay 10 dollars and spend an hour at least to make the game run properly.

Don't get me wrong, the game is nice, except that s was designed for the consoles and some funky stuff like the 2nd controller trick (google it) won't work. But it is a really old game, what the F price? Same thing as with EA titles - I would have bought some to pay respects, but not at this price level..

I would only buys this port if you've played the og and think speed running this game might fun, a good show case if this run is a AGDQ 2018 run by Plywood. This port was made by 4 people in 2000 and it shows, music and sound affects are sometimes broken or just straight up gone. Again for speed running its great because of how glitchy this game is. Your better of emulating it if you want to play mgs on pc.
