Solid Bundle

The game is very good and the management system fair and simple. The learning curve can be jarring but the difficulty can be adjusted in the menu while in a career or campaign and you can even adjust it further by going through the advanced settings. Each mission type is interesting and infiltration missions are a unique challenge and the arena type missions at hubs and certain worlds offer rewards for progressing through each arena rank. Each mech that you use can be altered up to the tonnage weight max limit IE Atlas is 100 tons so it's limit is a hundred and the game will let you what can be done and what cannot be done and you have different paint jobs available right away but you can unlock two though doing various cantina jobs and other methods. You can get various variants of mechs in different regions of the galactic map and each mech has a hero mech variant which brings unique paint schemes and armaments. The game will let you know which DLC campaign can be triggered at the appropriate moment and for how long. This is a good bundle to get before getting the newest one which adds new variants and the new enemies and their mechs and weapons which alone brings new customization options. I recommend getting this and before I forget but whenever you destroy an enemy mech or vehicle you may cause it or a part of it to go flying in any direction which can be humorous.

The DLC is necessary and worth it

This is a great package. I put my full review on the main game page, but definitely buy whichever is the most complete package. Mechwarrior will not give you up or let you down.

just sucks the fun out of mechwarrior

The engine revving sound makes this unplayable. `MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries requires GOG Galaxy for online multiplayer.`, yeah, technically it's not DRM. Both campaign and career gameplay is repetitive but fun. In career mode you can choose to just do specific level encounters as long as you want. Infiltration missions are fun until you realize that they spawn enemy npc's on purpouse if you jump jet over terrain where "you're not supposed to". Everithing else is just blowing stuff up.
