This is the one that started it all!

I first played this when my buddy brought it home from college and showed me it. After that I was hooked and thus began my journey into the world of PC games. Sure the original floppy version was buggy as heck but by the time I got it on cd they had managed to patch most of the bugs (though some of the nastier ones still crop up from time to time). Overall, give this a try if your into this type of game you won't be sorry you did.

Master of Magic

In the late 1990's many lunch breaks were spent playing this game. Like Master of Orion 1&2, it has deep turn based strategy with just a very slight hint of rpg for your leader. The 4X's are here again. Glad to have this classic back!

Still an Amazing game!

Just a few nights ago I spent 8 hours playing this classic. A mix of Civilization and Strategy. I'd love to see this game redone, but even as it is it's still better then many of the newer strategies which are more reliant on the timing, then the over all decisions.

Still Excellent

Well, I clearly remember MOFM as being one of the best, more entertaining games of it's own. It's a sort of Civilization without heavy town managment but with magii inside. One of the five top games of all time .... for me at least.

Originally buggy, but have to play now

I remember going over to my friend's house who had just upgraded his PC for Diablo and stumbled across this game in his CD spindle. While they were outside playing basketball, I was inside fighting through continual crashes and not really caring because the game was so fun, addictive, and well-balanced. I'll be adding this to my cart. Looking forward to reliving the days of hermitism.
