Machinarium is our first full-length adventure game in which players take on the role of a robot who has been exiled to the scrap heap. You must use logic, collect important items, and solve environmental puzzles to get the robot back into the city of Machinarium so he can rescue his robot girlfriend, save the head of the city, and defeat the bad guys from the Black Cap Brotherhood.

It was created by people who clearly love the genre with aim to deliver a top-notch entertainment for all those gamers who really miss the magical world of adventure games. And boy did the developers deliver! Every element--even the smallest ones--are crafted with exceptional care and polish by people who clearly knew what they were doing and loved it. This level of detail is hard to find in most modern games that seem to be mass produced, so it is a very refreshing feeling to see a title that is made with such care and passion.

Absolutely amazing!! I really enjoyed all the different types of puzzles, the eerie music, the visuals are absolutely amazing and the characters are so cute. Highly recommending this one!! Might be my favourite game of all. PS sometimes there was a bit of frustration whe eg a door and a strairs were very close to each other so little robot was confused and was taking the stairs instead of pushing the door's button one too many times but oh well. I love you, little robot (& friends)
Wow! Just wow. This is full of comedic elements, great (text free) story, imaginative sets, and more. Playing through this a second time with my kids after a 7 year break from solving it the first time. I wish there were dozens of games like this. We would play them all.
The game is rather short but really really lovely. Hand drawn and absolutely adorable characters, sets, and animations, engaging puzzles, nice story. Plus the cool cool music! Overall a classic from czech developers.
When the game came out, it was highly praised. So I played the demo and really like it but when I played the full version, I couldn't believe just how hard the game is. I love the graphics, sound and atmosphere. But the challenging puzzles is what frustrated me the most. I got through most of the game but I gave up eventually. I tried to use the hints and even went online for some walkthroughs. Thankfully I only spent four dollars. This game was disappointing in my opinion.
This is a very good game. It is not perfect: Like with all point and click games, there are times when you get stuck. I had to go to youtube 2-3 times. I don´t like mini-game-puzzles that are not logically embedded in the story. Like all adventure games, Macinarium has these, too. But overall it is just a very good game: Great story, great graphics, great soundtrack.
