Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded

Third version of Land of the Lounge Lizards, after the 1991 VGA, probably done after the success of Double Fine Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle Remaster. The fist feeling on first launch is that Al Lowe had a clear image of what the game will be: a simple remake of the original first Larry (with some small new addons). Probably is not well curated like Double Fine Remasters, or Love for Sail, but i got a feeling that Lowe was clear to adopt a simple style with simple animation to keep the cartoon wackyness of first Leisure Suite games. The only modern concession to the game is that Larry couldn't be stuck at some point of his adventure if he miss an importat object (the older Larry players will remember that the first games comes out with a manual that give you some hints and too many reloading previous saves). Puzzles are not illogical, just sometimes hard to solve, and newcomers could feel stuck in some points and desist to continue to play it (wich happened to me too, since too many decades has passed since i play the VGA version).

This was my first experience with a "proper" Larry game, as I've only played Magna Cum Laude before. It also happens to be one of the first point and click adventure games I've played. The writing and voice acting are the strong points in this game. There is A LOT of text written for this game, and most everything you examine, use, smell, or even pee on (!) is accompanied with a joke by the narrator, Larry, or another character. The humor is juvenile and can be a little tiresome after a while, but that's the signature of the series so fans of Larry should enjoy it. The graphics look pretty good, for that cartoony vibe, though the game could use some more animations for Larry. The downside is that some of the puzzles usually lean more on exploration and pixel hunting than logic, which I found a bit frustrating. The UI is a bit clunky too. Also, the game is quite short (circa 4 hours) so I reccomend getting it on a sale, like I did. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, but it has plenty room for improvement. Looking forward to playing the sequels

The game is great. It feels old-school but the graphics are updated. I felt sorry that it was removed from the steam store... and thought the game was considered really bad or something. Well, it is here and it is great. <3 it

Buying this game was waste of money, The game is super short - less than hour if not stuck. Moreover, there is no plot/gradation. All the alternative endings are 1. Dying or 2. Being stuck which is fairly unsatisfying. Nevertheless, I do believe that if upgraded and enhanced the game could be really cool. Unfortunately, it is not worth playing in the moment. Ps.; If you are searching for fun & adventure try Sam&Max, The day of the Tentacle or Grim Fandango and if you are searching for boobs find another game or just stick to porn.

LSL Reloaded is more like a chore than fun. A lot of dialogues that are leading nowhere. You also have to get money. That's no problem; you save, play, and reload when you lose. Then you have to constantly drive around in a taxi. That means calling a taxi, getting in, specifying your destination, enduring a short ride with a lame joke, opening your inventory, selecting your wallet, and paying the driver. The graphics and voice acting are good, and I like the humor. Maybe I shouldn't have hoped for a game equal to Larry 7 Love for sail.
