Epic Awesomeness
For what this game is, it is outstanding. It takes a while to get into the groove of the game but once you do, arguably one of the best PC games I have ever played.

It's a great game!
Now I've played the original King's Bounty for DOS and all installments of HoMM so I can say that this game actually does resemble the feel of the old King's Bounty game and the similarities with HoMM are mostly in the looks. The game is challenging. You need to plan your adventures. The game is fun! I play the "old way" by not reading the manual and it's a lot of fun, when you learn by doing.

Great game, with few flaws.
For anyone who has played Heroes of Might & Magic (Yes, I know this series technically outdates it) this is a sure hit, and if you like strategic turn-based games where fighting a much stronger opponent can be pulled off with some clever tactics, this is your game. That said, there are a number of bugs with the dialogue and quests - for example, if you back out of a conversation which would lead you into combat, you may no be able to get to that point again!

Not a clone at all
Kings Bounty was actually the precursor to HOMM. If you enjoyed any of the Heroes games, then you will love Kings Bounty. This is an updated version of the old classic. Gather vast armies and explore the world tracking down evil villains, a truly spectacular game.
