The cutest little city builder!

After having played Kingdoms and Castles for years now, I think I can safely say that it is (in my opinion) a unique experience. The game looks and plays fairly simplistically, it doesn't really add anything new to the genre, but it has a unique charm all its own. I guess the closest comparison I can come up with is building Lego when I was little...which sounds weird, but it really invokes that kind of cozy and relaxing creativity. The game is fairly well priced, it is fun and creative. I do hope the devs will bring the DLC (which is already availiable on Steam) to GoG as well, if they do, I wholeheartedly recomend this game to anyone looking for a superchill citybuilding experience!

Great game but resource hog

Great casual fun, BUT not optimized for laptops, even with dedicated graphics cards. This it will play on my 2015 Macbook with AMD Radeon R9 M370X (as it should, though not on supported list) but it feels like it could damage my machine. Runs hot with fans on full blast.

gotta love it

I am lovig this game. The simple style and simplistic mechanic is so need! if you like strategie but not the part where it can all go wrong. This game is for you :P.

Good for current stage

kingdoms and castles is a great game if you want a cheap, fun and simple game, or a modern version of the old stronghold games, which i played for hours. im personally hoping for an expansive strategy element in the rival kingdoms update. being able to maintain an army, using said army to attack other castles and kingdoms, while also developing your kingdom and defending against other kingdoms, not just the relatively weak vikings and dragons

A Simple Medieval City Sims

It is a good game, but need many more features and stuff be be grand. Don't expect this game to be too complex, set your mind on food and invaders from vikings and dragons, then it will be easy though their are harder difficulty if you want a challenge. Take this game as a relaxing city builder.
