Terrible Game, beautiful world.

The world design, story, voices, and immersion are fantastic. Unfortunately every element that makes this an actual game are simply terrible. The combat system is atrocious. Playing this with a keyboard and mouse will constantly force you to drag your mouse around your desktop wildly to position it for the directional attacks. Interaction is odd, as if it was a console port, where you are constantly pressing and holding a key to make a circle complete itself to finish an action like eating an apple. Riding a horse in combat is laborious. While attempting to make it run or turn you will constantly accidentally cause it to stop running which will force you to be overrun by enemies. It's too bad that such a beautiful world has been ruined by a garbage control system and laughable combat system.

Over Rated. Seem like a beta

The general idea is great but it look like a unfinish game. Weird interface, poor mecanic, not so good grafic and worst of all a lot of bug that ruin immertion. think twice before buy

poor optimization and good game play

it runs 20~40 fps for my machine and no developer really didn't care about performance issue in this game then they want more money for unfinished generic dlcs.. how could you??

Better off not buying, maybe years later

There is so much that you might think you'll like, but after waiting for a major patch to come out, and then buying, I am finding it just not good. It has all the elements to be a truly great game, but the design of the gameplay is honestly terrible. You can grind and follow online exploit guides and get somewhere, but if you expect to play a normal version, you'll be sadly disappointed and get to watch the death/restart cycle many times. Very little is adjustable, and you are locked into some linear play at the beginning with little to no tutorial, other than periodically a screen will pop up to tell you only some of the keys you need to accomplish things. Yes, we get the point that you need to die over and over to learn a simple thing as you play, War Horse. Unfortunately this is why I see this game as a do not recommend. Get a game that's enjoyable, for the price, you can probably find several. Maybe in two or three years, they will do the design work needed to make it a great game and it will be a bargain price by then. So give it a pass, or grind and exploit to uber status to play, that's why I say pass and buy something fun.

An unfinished game

When I went to see the first hobbit movie I didn't know it was the the first part of a trilogy and was ticked that it ended part way through. Well this game is the exact same way. Nothing is finished. The romance is actually cute until it just ends. The story starts good, goes off on a tangent, and ends without a resolution. The game play is enjoyable enough but like Skyrim suffers from alchemy being op. Speaking of which you have to use a potion to save and its alcoholic. The bugs and glitches put Bethesda to shame. If you don't have a high end machine the stuttering during some of the main quests make the game borderline unplayable. My recommendation is wait until there is an enhanced edition with a hopefully finished story. I would not buy this game in its current state.
