A flawed but classic Bioware gem.
Clunky combat and some pretty poor voice acting at times can be a little jarring but it's a fun martial arts adventure clearly inspired by 70s and 80s films of the same genre. Great classic Bioware writing and some very different settings are enough to make up for some sometimes tedious combat and clunky mechanics. If you enjoyed Knights of the Old Republic, give it a go!

Kung Fu RPG
Seemingly caught between 2 Bioware masterpieces - KotOR & ME - the game still manages to stand on its own. Having a "light vs dark" alignment system (recognised in their other games) supporting the story (and mechanics) is a strong foundation, and the narrative itself (with some unexpected turns) is also solid. Fighting (and other supporting mechanics) may seem simple and/or clunky at its core, but once you get the hang of it, it's also somewhat satisfying. All the fighting styles and visuals also manage to solidify that "fantasy Chinese empire" feel of the game. Characters seem well written and plenty different to keep interest, supported by solid VA. The game shows its age after 20 years, but it's worth experiencing what that era's Bioware has to offer - the good and the bad.

On Jade Empire
Maybe it is just nostalgia speaking from me, but after many many years of pause I downloaded Jade Empire and I can say, despite the older graphics, this game still stands to time in pretty much every aspect of what a hardly story driven rpg should be.
