lack of perfection
I'd give five stars only if the saving option works fine , but I have all the saving configurations only it's idle and worthless unlike it's first release , was perfect and unique then .

AWESOME GAME!!!
This is the only game where I feel like a badass special agent thrown in the wild all by himself. This is not exactly a stealth game, you must use a mixture of stealth and action, but OMG, this is soo gamegasmic. Many games are better than IGI visually and by how smooth the controls are, but it is the overall feel that makes IGI2 an amazing experience. Maybe I'll extend this review later, for now, I'm just happy to find this game on GOG, last time I played it was many years ago, I didn't want to use the pirated version. Seriously this is a jewel in the world of stealth/action games, if you like this genre buy it now !

It’a the game about stealth
First of all, I think this game is more suitable for adults but not children because it need yours thinking and strategy. When I was a little boy, this game made me frustrating coz I did not realized that I should be a stalker. Consequently, I failed again and again and begun to use cheat. Once I changed the strategy of playing this game, I finally found the fun. I need to observe your enemies, plan the route and so on. Trust me, try it!!!

One of the best games of its time.
This was one of the best few games of its time, part 1 was challenging and sometimes that was frustrating so the devs included saves through map computer! Levels are awesome and weapons are very good. I wish some bought the IP and release a modern version with advanced AI and game engine! But I guess we have splinter cell for that! Hey GOG, any chance of putting IGI 1 on the shelf so that we can enjoy that again as well? And one has to be special type of mentally challenged to not like this game! Gen z infants jumped into this game expecting to be battlefield or COD? Pfft... Kids, this is how all the modern stealths have begun!

Great game but unforgiving difficulty
So this is a terrific game. Brutally challenging. Playged Project IGI and IGI2: Covert Strike when it released. Still have the original DVDs. However an issue with the game is the punishing difficulty and also the very poor pixel perfect precision controls. While your ammo is limited, enemies have unlimited ammo and are super precise from even 2miles away. Also when you try to hit them you have to be super precise because your reticule needs to be pixel perfect especially at larger distances but they have 0 issues flaying you in few shots. Part of the draw of this game is that. It sets its rules and abides by it. But this is exactly like Demon Souls and Dark Souls that people love. Rules are set and game is punishing in that zone. So when you finally complete a level, you get a super sense of achievement. On Windows 10 the game is choppy honestly. You get frame stutters to the point where you're about to move your gun to shoot but the game lags and then your weapon is away and you fire wrong and they now know you're there and you're dead. So you have to wait for the choppiness and time it. This makes it a bit frustrating but overall the game is amazing. I had hoped they'd keep making IGI3, 4 etc. but we got the wrong games with Call of Duty and Battlefield type twitchy games which are not satisfying at all. Bring back IGI sequels.
