Exceptional fun
This game is just great to play from start to finish, with great story, graphics, music, dialogue, humor and violence. If you're looking for high end, 3D raytraced graphics you won't find it here. What this game is, is a throwback to the golden age before 3D graphics were a thing, but the fun was intense to the point of being visceral. The graphics and gameplay wouldn't feel out of place on the Neo Geo. Gameplay is not just mindless shooting either, since you will have to strategically take shelter and change platforms to avoid bullets. The presentation is also something else. The cheesy one liners Bosses utter mid fight are really memorable and include references to 1980s & 1990s cult classics from Terminator 1&2, The Warriors, Robocop and more. So if you're a 1980s kid you'll be treated with lots of nostalgia For the rest, this is a fun game you'll not get tired of re-playing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you love 2D platformers.

Incredibly polished pixel platformer
Polished in all domains: level design and mechanics, as well as visuals and sound. This really feels like some lost gem from 1993. Challenge level is tough but fair. Keeps you motivated to keep playing like the best old school games. Only con: imperfect 4:3 aspect ratio support, for those that want to play fullscreen on a typical CRT TV. Would be nice to have a "pan and scan" buttonso you could pan the game camera to the right to see all the objstacles ahead. If you really want to give it a go Instead of 320x240 @ 60hz, you can try a desktop resolution of 360x270 @ 55hz, which gets more screenspace on the right and left so you're less frequently fighting bad guys you can't see. I haven't played all levels yet, so there may be cases where running 16:9 424x240 or 480x270 is necessary

Underrated Gem
Everything from the Amgia-esque art to the 80s aesthetics to the simple but fluid gameplay is top-notch. Absolutely worth the purchase.
