Huntdown is a nihilistic, loud, explosive, even obnoxious arcade shooter. But behind its acid comic style and vulgar tone lies a superb, meticulously created action experience, packing in addictive and creative carnage, at breakneck pace, for an agreeable price. Heed the warning: Do Not Sleep on Huntdown. It's an absolute blast.

It may not break ground on the neo-nostalgic front, but it doesn’t need to. It’s a wonderful homage to an era of games and movies that paved the way for this to happen.

Huntdown is, quite simply, one of the best side-scrolling shooters I've ever played. Incredible retro pixel art, generous local co-op, a stonking frame rate and an addictive game play loop that had me coming back for more; Huntdown is the total package.

Great Platformer with 80s refrences
I do'nt play a great deal of games these days, but this one keep drawing me back, simple, fun and a cool asthetic. Would recommend.

In best tradition of ‘80s action movies
Not that I'm very good at computer games, but this one is fire. Cool protagonists and antagonists. Great job by the voice actors. The maps are large enough to be fun and the game doesn't have time to get boring. Great 80's action film atmosphere. Every character has their own cool catchphrases. My favorite one is: [throws the axe] "I have to axe a question" A.C.

Amazing, Addictive, Worth the Money
Fluid play on Macbook M1 and on Winlator via a Samsung S10. Every time you die, you want to quickly re-up and get back at it. Good enemy variety and challenges. Had to get used to finding items by using up all weapons where they could be, but I enjoy that aspect too. All-in-all, highly recommend it at regular price. Demand you get it when on sale.
