Hotline Miami is a high-octane action game overflowing with raw brutality, hard-boiled gunplay and skull crushing close combat. Set in an alternative 1989 Miami, you will assume the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld at the behest of voices on your answering machine. Soon you'll find yourself struggling to get a grip of what is going on and why you are prone to these acts of violence.

Rely on your wits to choreograph your way through seemingly impossible situations as you constantly find yourself outnumbered by vicious enemies. The action is unrelenting and every shot is deadly so each move must be quick and decisive if you hope to survive and unveil the sinister forces driving the bloodshed. It's all true, it really is!

Wow! These new indie games, man, these friggin' indie games! "Hotline Miami" is not only exploding with nightmare Turbo-Grafx sci-fi noir style, but its gameplay is fast, silky smooth, intuitive and extremely deep! The price is a steal.

Unplayable due to bugs

I've started the game for the third time now and always get stuck at some stairs between levels. Last time after completing the first mission. Pressing ESC lets the game crash when stuck between two stair levels such that i have to restart form the beginning each time. Might be an awesome game. But i cannot play it this way. A pitty.

ERROR in action number 1

Played on ps4. Really enjoyed it so bought for pc. Endless errors. ERROR in action number 1 of Create Event for object objDevolver: Error defining an external function. Lots of stuff like that. Seems to happen if your OS is 64 vs 32. Love the game on ps4 but don't recommend on pc currently due to the errors

So fast and furious!

Its just the speed for this game, its crazy fun. The style is nostagic for vets and great for newcomers, the tone of the music is something not to be set aside either. This review is just a love letter to the makers and a demand of purchase for the people who come here to check it out

Problems with Windows 8

The game crashes randomly when using W8, chapter 6 took a lot of tries, now even after the update I can't complete ch10. The game always crashes. And the developer has acknowledged that the reason is that they used a very old version of GameMaker. So beware, it may work but chances are you'll run into problems.
