Hotline Miami is a high-octane action game overflowing with raw brutality, hard-boiled gunplay and skull crushing close combat. Set in an alternative 1989 Miami, you will assume the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld at the behest of voices on your answering machine. Soon you'll find yourself struggling to get a grip of what is going on and why you are prone to these acts of violence.

Rely on your wits to choreograph your way through seemingly impossible situations as you constantly find yourself outnumbered by vicious enemies. The action is unrelenting and every shot is deadly so each move must be quick and decisive if you hope to survive and unveil the sinister forces driving the bloodshed. Hotline Miami’s unmistakable visual style, a driving soundtrack, and a surreal chain of events will have you question your own thirst for blood while pushing you to the limits with a brutally unforgiving challenge. the game just doesn't work

I don't rate this game, because I've hardly played it - it simply crashes after a few minutes of playing and turns off completely (I use new PC with Windows 11 installed). I know it cost just few złotys and this defect may be removed manually, but I'm horrible at computers and when I buy a game I just want to play it wihout having to do anything else. On the plus side, GOG refunded me immediately. P.S. The same applies to the Steam version.

Game of the Year

I first played this game at a games exhibition in Brighton last August. Out of triple A games and other indie titles, this one was the most captivating. It is a frenetic, twitchy, tough journey into man's primal desires. A balm for the soul. An 80s psychedelic trip.

Pure greatness

I bought this game from steam sale and now purchased it from GOG sale, just to have it on all my computers at the same time! Cant recommend this enough, one of the best games i have played in a long time.

A brilliant game

but the pc version is still crippled with many problems. The March 2014 version is still unstable, crashing, with framerate collapsing between two stages to 1fps - forcing you to reload till the engine gets it right. And the launcher won't let me play the updated version. The Playstation 3 version I tried at a friend's is a much, much better experience.
