Not heroes 3 but still great
It's hard because this game will always be compared to Heroes 3. But if you take it as a stand alone turn-based strategy game, the game is still fun. Having heroes as in combat units is a great feature and brings a lot of life to this game.

Good hero system, but wonky game
The game has a good premise for involving heroes in combat compared to other HOMM games. But it is somewhat poorly executed in a game whose graphics/artdirection and charm is not as timeless HoMM 3 for instance.
