cHave been wanting to replay this game for years. Asked GOG to try and find it a couple of months ago, and in time for Thanksgiving they have delivered. That's why GOG is so Great. And thanks to everyone else who facilitated getting the rights. I am ecstatic to be able to play again this great game, vastly underrated. A true gem!
I thought this was a hidden gem, but it wasn't. Maybe I gave it too little time and it may actually be good? I played the first 45 minutes but I never got hooked. If only the fighting part would have had more "feeling". I want to smash my sword against an enemy so that the enemy flies away with a nice and nasty sound. But there was not even any "on hit" sound effects? And the enemies did not react at all when they were hit?! Only when they died. I did not get the attonments at all.
If I'm going to play this game, then fix a normal skill tree and also what I mentioned above.
I'll uninstall the game meanwhile. Music and graphics was good and I saw a great potential, but no. Not finished.
I really like the sequel, but "Inquisition" is more or less unplayable on both my computers because dark triangles that pulsate hectically block the image. This nuicance varies between thin slivers of black that show up, change form and move around ... up to large areas that block 4/5 of the main-screen.
This game doesn't work. At the charater creation page your stats are not shown with numbers, but with letters. When you click some of these letters, they add to the chars name or alter difficulty.
And those are just the buttons that do anything at all..
In game i managed to kill one enemy, then i entered the cathedral. In front of me where some glowing runes. I couldn't do anthing to them. I pressed every key on the keyboard.
Sttings are: an eye which is supposed to be graphics, with only some weird antique settings. No normal graphic settings. I guess there is only one. it is called not good, but okay it's an old game. there are no list over keyboard/mouse. but anyway, i got stuck after having played 2 minutes. I always thought GOG was a decent company, but this is unplayable, and should be unsellable too.
too bad I did not test the game when bought. in fullscreen it crashes on startup, windowed it's like 0.3fps and even my mouse almost stops responding. 30 days guarantee is not much of a help now..
