CDPR got it wrong

Homecoming is not worth your time. They don't know what makes a CCG game great. After 2 years of interesting Beta, we got a boring, underwhelming clone where only graphics improved... sorry to say that, but it's true. Don't listen to 5 star reviews - they have no clue. CDPR should apologize to people who invested lots of time and money into the Beta, because the finished version is totally different. Imagine playing Mass Effect 1/2 in the beta, and then getting some Andromeda flop when it releases. What a dissapointment.

They ruined Gwent

Why would they get me invested in a game for a year and a half and then completely destroy it? Terrible, terrible release. No indication of how they plan to fix it yet either. Skip and move on.

Best CCG

Very limited RNG, actually free to play (you do not need to spend money to win), varying strats, the devs actually play their game. On top of all that its a very pretty game, and rewarding

DJ XTRA recommends this game

+several interesting archetypes +F2P frienly +amazing card arts +decent balance, several viable decks even at higher ranks +amazing soundtrack +constant tweaks to the game has made it better so far +/-the board looks great, but it's a little too dark for my taste -gameplay still feels too slow for me -there aren't many cards at the moment, future expansions will hopefully fix that I loved the open beta Gwent, played it for about 500 hours. When Homecoming hit I was disappointed, didn't have fun with the new cards and quickly got bored of the meta we had back then. But now, after several patches containing game balances and bugfixes I feel like the game is headed in the right direction once again. Seeing the developers passion I can't wait to see what they'll deliver in the upcoming expansions. If you didn't like homecoming when it came out, then I strongly recommend you to try it again. As for newcomers: if you like card games or the witcher universe, then you shouldn't miss the chance of having hundreds of hours of fun.
