Months after the final release, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is still going strong. The minigame-turned-esport continually goes through iterations and patches, shedding skins and morphing into a real beast of a card game. It has a wistful past, a solid present, and a bright future.

Economy patch ruined this game for me.
The game is decent and you have a lot of factions to play with. It can be fun because you have a lot of tactics. The art is very good. but... The economy patch after 2 January is awful. Now you can't collect all the premium cards even if you pay with real money. It just impossible. Before that patch you could collect all cards playing the game and supporting the devs with real money, but now is just impossible even if you spend a lot of money. The game was clearly better before that patch.

Can we have our Gwent back? please?
I don't want go give low score for Gwent game that me and my wife used to enjoy so much. Actually, it's not Gwent any more. It's something else. I like good stories with narrative but even it's hardly enough motivation for me to contunie playing. I will give it a try one more time for the old good times sake. Maybe, I hope, something deep down in the game I yet to discover.

Old Gwent was better
The RNG of some archetypes. Pure degradation in strategic aspect. The non-interactability of many card types. Every round now feels incredibly slow, after every match i just wanna take a break, not because it was very tensely and fascinatingly, it's because i'm bored after one match. 3D graphics just don't fit into the atmosphere of the game, Gwent always been about table in tavern, not about battlefield. Game is felt A LOT more casual than before. Tons of interesting mechanics was destroyed and were changed to boring ones. What was done with two rows could simply be done with three rows ( and that would be great ). I would be happy if only coinflip problem, first turn problem and some RNG moments would be fixed. But someone thought it would be a good idea to completely rework an almost perfect game. It's actually sad to admit, but i don't feel like this my game now.
