Months after the final release, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is still going strong. The minigame-turned-esport continually goes through iterations and patches, shedding skins and morphing into a real beast of a card game. It has a wistful past, a solid present, and a bright future.

Let down
This is the first review I leave on GOG I think. I really like what CDPR has done for gaming and the quiality of their other productions. I have played this game since the beginning. I really liked it, it felt unique and rewarding. Changes come all the time and small changes came to Gwent, but they did not revolutionised the core game. We players beta tested a game and once it was time to release it, CDPR just took what they did for Thronebreaker and put it into this "new Gwent experience", that simply is TB multiplayer. I feel betrayed and bored. Shame on CDPR for ruining a great concept for who know why. Disappointed,

Gwent isn't unique anymore
All the unique things that made Gwent great has either been reduced or removed just it can be become another card game instead of standing out as the next best thing. It's also become more clunky with the very slow responsive actions. This version feels more of a beta than the actual beta we've played in the last two years. I'm not going through the growing pains again just so it can become an alright game in the near future. I'm done being patient. Closed beta player with 1k + hours uninstalling.

Feel Sad for CDPR
The logic of CDPR on "wangid2021" is Pride and Prejudice. CDPR guess you are guilty, no proof but there's one pattern of behavior no other player has, so you are guilty. But sorry we won't share the detail what's the pattern. Will any courthouse in the world use such logic? Besides, just directly reduce 3.7% MMR is not reasonable as well. It's even lower than the basic MMR after the reduce. CDPR feedback they have the right to reduce every MMR as they own everything. Thing like this has already hurt the feeling of CN GWENT community, where most players comment they will quit GWENT and any other CDPR's game in future. So sad CDPR hurt so many CN players who were once loyal to them and to the GWENT game.
