Childhood game

Brutal game, but I genuinely remember picking it up as a rental and then discovering it was actually great, I also remember it being extremely difficult, I ended up finishing it after a while, but man... it took me a long, long time. Loved my time with it though, reason as to why I finished it. You can see a lot of this game in the first Red Dead, both because its themes, as well as because of its gameplay, there are some missions (like the herding cattle ones) that are completely ripped from this game straight into Red Dead 1. Great to have the game DRM free and with all languages, Steam version lacks this. Hopefully GOG can add this to their preservation program in the future.

Great Western

Excellent game, which I purchased on it's release date in 2006. It has a solid story and although it is semi open world the gameplay is pretty linear. Replayability is high in my opinion especially when trying to go for 100% completion. You really will not find any true issues with this excellent game there is just no way in h*ll I will ever pay $20.00 for an eleven year old game. Great game, outrageous price plain and simple.

Don't Think, BUY!

This game is wonderful. For a basic summary, it is literally Red Dead Redemption. I have never played a Read Dead Redemption. GUN is a open-world western action game. There is a game mechanic called Quick Draw. It slows down time so you can shoot everything with your pistols. I didn't want to stop playing this but I had to for my own good. The only thing I would say bad about the game is the length. The game is only about 6 hours long (not including side missions). 6 hours may seem kind of a lot but the game just feels like it goes by fast. This game is really easy to 100% the game (I am currently working on that). The side missions are pretty fun to do. There are side missions when you are a deputy, there are ones when you are being a rancher, there are hunter missions where you hunt animals, and last is the poker tournaments. The story is really good in my book. That basically sums up the hole game. You should definitely buy this game if you are into these kinds of stuff! But $20 is maybe a bit too much. I recommend that you should wait for a sale. Now stop thinking and buy it!

Nice trip down memory lane

This might have been a decent game in its day, but it does'nt live up to todays standards. By that, I don't mean graphics-wise, but only that the mechanics are way off. Playing the game on hard setting is impossible, cuz the AI will hit you every time resulting in too much depending on luck to complete the missions. Playing the game on easy-setting gets tedious relatively quick. That being said the graphics are actually quite nice for an old game, and I remember being rather fond of the game, back in the day, since it was the only one of its kind (western-theme-shoot-em-up-sandbox) at the time. Still, this was a nice trip down memory lane, but I would'nt recommend it to newcomers. There are far supererior mgames out there...
