Gorogoa crafts its inventive, sliding-tile puzzles and magical world with a graceful simplicity across a compact but fulfilling adventure. The excitement of solving each puzzle may be lost on a repeat playthrough, but its hand-drawn art and clever payoffs are no less satisfying to watch unfold again and again. Gorogoa manages to say so much without uttering a single word, endowing it with a mystery that invites a more attentive, thoughtful revisit — and one that I was more than happy to accept.

6 years in the making and it shows

Gorogoa is a game that's exquisitely crafted, not just in its single elements but the way they all combine. The visuals are fantastic and highly detailed, as you've probably seen for yourself, and it's mindblowing to think one person did all of it. The puzzle design is so clever throughout and gets more and more challenging in a very satisfying way. And the storytelling, done without words, is subtle in a way that made me want to play the game twice just so I could absorb the little bits I missed. Took me between 1-2 hours to beat, but I don't mind the length because the game didn't overstay its welcome. The way Gorogoa embodies its time and space warping concept on every level makes it truly memorable.

Beautiful, deep, and enriching

Having just completed the game I felt strongly compelled to review it. This is an artistically beautiful, deep, and enriching puzzle game which draws you into its world and story through incredibly beautiful art, rich puzzle gameplay, and a meditative and minimal musical score. Repeated playthroughs will allow one to more deeply engage with the magical artwork, the touching story, the significant symbolism, and fantastic puzzle mechanics. Truly a unique game, and one of the most memorable I have played. I felt like a little kid opening up one of those mind-bending puzzle books as a kid and just being drawn into each panel. Highly recommended!

Small game, Big experience

It's a short puzzle game, took me about 90 min to complete, but it was so inventive and full of clever ideas that every minute felt meaningful and memorable. I'd say the only drawback is the price which might be too much for this short length, but I'd still recommend it for people who like original and satisfying puzzle games.

Absolutely Stunning!

I love this game. The art, animation, story etc are beautifully expressed. It isn't a difficult game, but the experience itself is the point of it all, and it was genuinely emotionally evokative in ways that (in my opinion) bettered those of many movies. Easily worth twice the price.

This game is beautiful and well crafted. It might not be a game for everyone, but I think we can all agree that the quality is definitely there. I'm glad that it's on GOG.
