Before man climbed down from the trees to shop in megastores and drink cappuccino, before the Earth wadded itself into a cool blue ball, before the Moon even existed, there was the Island. The Island, a massive fragment of a long-lost planet, hurtling blindly through space. Upon the surface of this paradise wanders the giant, Kabuto. Little does Kabuto know that the Island was home to others before him. In the oceans, there dwells a matriarchal race called the Sea Reapers. In their pride, they created Kabuto, as a defense against intruders. But Kabuto became conscious of himself, his loneliness, his pain - and he went berserk.
Space castaways, the Meccs piloted their ship through space, looking for their missing friends. If you haven’t guessed already, they ended up on the Island. Faced with yet another unscheduled layover while on their way to Planet Majorca, the Meccs decide to make the best of their temporary home. Just their luck - the natives are already embroiled in their own little war, and the Mecc visitors are most unwelcome!

Amazing
If you didn't play this when it first came out, I can't even begin to explain how much you missed out. The story is fun and the gameplay is awesome. For it's time, the multiplayer was groundbreaking. You will not regret this purchase.

Wacky good fun
I remember seeing this in stores and passing on it. That was a mistake. Since getting it on GOG I replay it periodically; the different playstyles of the various factions, the scenarios to fight your way through, all of it is just really entertaining. The humor is very over-the-top and telegraphed sometimes, and the logic of some of the missions is farcical, but you never make the mistake of thinking the game is taking itself seriously so it doesn't actually get in the way. All I would ask for is that there be more of this game.

Best Game ever created. period!
I've been waiting for a remake of this game for so long now. Nothing not even in multiplayer can compare to this game. Most original game I have ever played and I am 40 years old. I've been gaming more than anyone I know. YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN? GET THIS GAME NOW!

Awesome game and great localisation!
I remember this one very well. I can remember playing the trial version I think and then it was released as a one title in the series of extremely cheap but original games in Poland with full localisation. It cost like 29,99zl which is like 8,5$ at the current exchange rate. The game was so fun, I loved parts with Mekks the best, but the other parts are awesome too. As for it's time of release the game had very nice graphics and nice, cartoony character style. Every character in the game has its own personality, the story is entertaining. Considering all of that I do need to mention Polish localisation of the game. We had full audio and text translated and I dare to say I loved all the gags the best in my native language. I dare to say it was one of the best translated games ever into Polish. It had all then funny moments that original had, had the references and the word-plays that original game had in English. It was this kind of translation that you knew that the voice actors and text writers acutally knew what they are talking/writing about. At this moment it's sadly not available in Polish so I'll stick to my old CD's that I have somewhere at my parents house. But once it's available I'll buy it for the full price with a smile on my face.
