Try the Demo first!
Glad I tried the demo. This is super-frustrating. The music is always awesome, and the graphics are very slick too. The environments all seem to have exactly one correct way through, run-slide-jump-repeat and move from wall to wall. Doors are meaningless. Side-paths (though obvious) are also meaningless and inaccessible. Everything is run-slide-jump. Even that could be cool, but there are sequences in which a series of unlikely jumps must be made in sequence and, if you fail, you start again at the beginning. If you're the kind of person who likes precision-jump platformers, then this slick 3D version of the same will be great for you. But if you want to do anything other than the pre-determined run-slide-jump with perfect timing, then this will be nothing but frustration. It might have been easier, if the demo allowed changes to settings like mouse sensitivity but, although you can change these in the interface, they won't be saved. They'll be immediately overriden with the defaults.

Frustration and constant restarts
Gameplay feels very monotonous. I keep doing the excact same things over and over again combined with frustration and constant restarts to get past an area. No thanks. Extra star for the good looking graphics and pumping soundtrack.

Frustration, the game
Seriously frustrating. Kind of cool for a minute or two but being melee vs hit scanning gunners is really annoying. Is there some way to block that it didn't show me? There's no UI (yay, so trendy). There's an inner cooldown for your dash, but there's no UI so you never know when you can or can't use it.. Sometimes you can, sometimes not, the sometimes not is the time you'll get shot and have to restart for the 20th time. Granted, I don't like parkour games or speed combat, whatever you want to call it, but if you can't make a demo fun then you're doing it wrong. It did feel smooth and well optimized, usually around 100-144fps, sound design seemed good. The restarts on death are very quick which is nice, there isn't some break down and reloading every time, you are instantly at your checkpoint as soon as you hit R. I'm grateful for the demo and the dev releasing on gog with parity to other platforms.
