The wondrous Dwindling Heights is well designed and gives Tilo plenty of opportunities to use his mousey avoidance skills and disguises to help characters. Although there is occasionally too much backtracking, Ghost of a Tale holds a memorable journey in its tiny paws.

Such a cute game
Early on in this game I was annoyed about needing keys that I didn't have but I began to understand that it's a stealth metroidvania with a cute persona, with the music and characters and outfits and general meaningful objective of the main character. I didn't encounter any bugs or issues playing this on a steam deck.

Nothing hooks the player
It really tries to be something. But nothing is grabbing my attention and earning my time. It's way too complicated for what it is and that complexity is not inviting. It has a really empty feeling. If voices (even grunting sounds) or proper ambience sounds were added it would feel better. The nail in the coffin is the annoying busy work. This must hold the record for most unique keys/locks in a hallway. I played Blender game engine games over a decade ago that have rougly the same gameplay as this.

Great Start!
It's only a early access, it doesn't take long to finish, but it's an amazing experience with quality graphics and inspiration. Love finding the secret locations, they are very rewarding and not frustratingly hidden like other games. Very nice and balanced story. Pretty easy mind, but that's not always a bad thing. Can't wait for the next part!
