BETTER OFF AS AN ANIMATED FILM
The art style is unique, and the noir-jazz soundtrack deserves its own purchase, but the entire package probably would've been better off as an animated film, because the gameplay is EXCRUCIATING.
The game plays slowly, namely just when you want your protagonist to move around, and your mouse cursor presses can be really unresponsive at times.
I played 5 hours in, and got to the Supercollider puzzle, and...F that puzzle, because all it is, is tinkering around with a bunch of controls, until you finally get the waveform to resemble what it's supposed to, before turning the supercollider on again. It's just random, tedious trial-and-error guesswork, and I DON'T have time for that kind of shit!
Also, the game kept freezing and crashing during that puzzle, and after finding one of the solutions, objects that were supposed to be there for me to interact WOULDN'T appear!
Ended up giving up on this, and just watching a Let's Play, and let me tell you, does this game go some REAL WEIRD places in the last hour or two, with dance numbers and lyrics and hippie-bullshit-whatever-whatever!
