My 7 year old is playing this, learning english, math and getting organised. He enjoyes the progression and is always excited for a new skill or a new patch of land. The font could be more friendly for young ones, as some letters look very much the same.
I've waited for Forager since I've laid my eyes on the demo.
And I must admit, it didn't dissapoint. It's fun, cute, challenging at times and highly enjoyable. It has colorful and clear graphics coupled with nice music making you say "just one more minute/puzzle/item" until it's 2AM and you get smacked by your SO.
A bit overpriced for sure - 25-30% lower would be perfect price for the content I think. Mainly because at this moment it does not have any longevity or re-play value and I sure hope this will change and justify the price. :)
Only thing that comes to my mind as "CON" is the screen shake that you can't really turn off and is quickly getting annoying. People with mothin sickness should take note of this I guess. Otherwise, highly recommended.
tl;dr:
It's fun and almost worth asked price. If you can afford it - get it to support the dev, as I did.
Maybe he'll make some more.
Game's fine, though I have no clue why they decided to have the ability to reset after death, and yet only start over with one of three hearts. It just causes needless loading times.
Game itself is good enough, though you'll need to play it a few times to get a feel for the Skill tree. It would have been better if they'd just had all that information visible from the start.
