A masterpiece of a game
I've sunken many hours into this game. Managed to finish it with all 30 ships. Could still get many more hours, but there are other games to play. :) The game is a rogue-like set in space. After stealing plans for Rebellion new battle station, you rush to the home sector of Galactic Federation to thwart rebels' plans. You go sector by sector, always having rebels on your tail. In each sector you jump from waypoint to waypoint. At almost each one something happens. You meet a merchant, an enemy to ight or have to deal with cosmic spiders. You have to leave the sector, before the rebel fleet catches up to you. Combat is very tactical, especially in later sectors. You have to constantly think on what weapons to use and which parts of the enemy ship to attack. At the same time, you have to be wary of what's going on on your ship. Is it on fire? Have you been boarded? Is every system functioning as it should? To beat it, you have to build your ship the right way from the beginning. You have to think which weapons to buy, which to leave, if you need drones or teleport, do you need cloak. You play with the cards that you're dealt, but every decision is an important one. It's most important at higher difficulty levels, where resources are scarce and enemies tougher. Every scrap spent counts. Difficulty is not lowa, especially over the first several playthroughs. However once you get how it all works, you'll have a much better time. RNG is high here, but you can mitigate it in several ways. After some games you'll be able to win consistently most of the time. You have to learn what to expect in which sector (which are controlled by different races and factions), what events you may encounter and what you need to defeat the last boss. I highly recommend playing this one, although I realise that it's unique in many ways and may not fit everyone. Easiest 5 stars.

Awesome
It's an awesome space-adventure rogue-like game! It surely will keep you entertained for a rather long time! Only thing which I find sad is.... Wish I could customize my ship more at the start and maybe the crew. Other than that, it's rather fun!

Great but frustrating.
This game is absolutely amazing, and I cannot stress that enough. The concept is well executed, combat is fast paced but very strategic the music is great and the quests are fun to do. The random galaxy generation combined with the different varieties of ships allows for almost infinite replay-ability. The one issue with this game is difficulty, due to the fact that the game is a randomly generated rouge-like your progress will generally depend on luck and as such the game can at times be extremely unfair and frustrating, this is especially true during the final boss fight, without giving much away I'll just point out that the boss is extremely overpowered and for the most part requires a very particular set of weapons/upgrades to be beatable. Other than that the game is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it.
