The Rabbit & Pork DLC Update is here! Read the full changelog HERE.
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

The game has been cool, interesting and beatiful so far. It tends to be a bit laggy (gotta play with lower graphics than I'm used to with Fo4 and it's still laggy in spaces with too many objects, but I guess that's on me and my hardware) and I have noticed some small issues, such as interactible doors that lead nowhere and don't really open, basically fooling you and walking NPCs, and some NPCs some times trip on random items, troubling their walking path and making a mess.
My main issue with this mod is how often it crashes. Randomly, when tabbing out of your "pip-boy", when fast-travelling or when loading a saved game.
Starting with the obvious: This is a free project from a team of freelancers, who don't get paid directly.
So I won't talk about the choppy launch.
Positives:
- They had their own vision.
- Took a lot of effort.
- Some gimmicks are rather nice actually (the atta-boy f.e.)
- Lot's of new 2D and 3D art. Which, with the exception of loading screens, look pretty good.
Negatives:
- Uninspiring story. Comparable to a Netflix scifi-drama you quit watching after 5 episodes.
- Quests are bearable at best.
- Combat is a lot worse than vanilla F04. Weapons are incredibly unbalanced. Pair that with the scarcity of ammo and you feel like you're playing a survival horror game.
- Melee combat should be the go-to then, but as we all know melee combat in Bethesda games doesn't promise a lot of fun.
- Ammo is rarer than anything else in this game, which is cool and faithful to the UK I guess, but...
- Loot, not only ammo, LOOT ITSELF is barely existent in non-quest areas, making the world feel empty and soulless
- World design. Some areas like the tower bridge are nice, but then theres an abundance of these buildings that easily could have been in Fallout 3 or 4. Honestly areas like Goodneighbor and Concord have a more british vibe than the majority of Fallout London.
- Level design is horrendous for the most part. No magic, no immersion. Reaching Thameshaven and doing the first real quest makes you feel like you are playing a cramped platformer.
- Graphics are A LOT worse than vanilla FO4, even on Ultra. You can see clearly for 100 meters maybe, everything else is muddy and barely loaded in.
- Atmospheric and combat soundtracks are lackluster. not once delivering a british vibe. Awkward combat soundtracks with bad timing, going on for what feels like an eternity after the battle is over.
- Voice acting. American people trying to sound vaguely british.
Conclusion: If you're REALLY itching for a new Fallout game, give it a try. Sadly it didn't do it for me.
Cannot start a new game. Game loads the starting animations, and you can select New Game. New Game never starts. Shows loading animation in the bottom left corner and the startup animation loop plays endlessly. I waited 30 minutes and no change. Hopefully this will be fixed later on but disappointingly it is unplayable for now.
I followed every helpful tip and hint so far on the internet about getting the game to run, but still no change. Have not seen anyone with this unique issue so far. CTD and freezing I have read about many times but not the inability to begin a new game.
After my first installation, I got past the Train Crash and was able to talk to the first gang, but after that my game crashed over and over. I realised, I had not proper installed the game. So I followed the instructions to Install propperly, no Modmanager, cleared all previous files, downgraded my Steam Version of Fallout without any mods, startet the game up once before installing Fallout London. This time again I played trough the prolog without a hint of a problem, but just after the Train Crash when I was walking down the alley, my game crasehd. And everytime try to load my save, it crashes before even showing me anything.
I was so hyped for this Mod, I really hope the Devs can fix this! But sadly, at the moment, it's unplayable for me.
