How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.

A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.

Yes, the launch has been rougher than many of us excited for this hoped for. Yes, you are unlikely to be among the lucky few not to have the crashing issues. However what should be kept to mind is that the team behind this project were rather blindsided with the recent Fallout 4 'update' and have had to work on a short timeframe to make this all come together, especially since they already are releasing quite past the origional promised date.
At time of writing this I have put in 54.5 hours and had to take a minute to tab away finally as I heard that the reviews are not quite doing this piece of love justice at the moment.
If you are the sort of person who wants this to be smooth, to use all of your usual Fallout Mods then I would advise waiting a few weeks for the inevitable patches of the most pressing issues.
If you are as eager as I was (and not already playing) Then I would highly recommend joining the team's Discord and taking a look at their currently recomended modlist found there as for me, that is what got me through mostly cleanly.
From my time played, bugs and otherwise I would whole heartedly recommend this game as the breath of fresh gameplay, sights, mechanics and passion that has been sorely needed in the franchise.
Game crashes occasionally, but I've got that (somehow) fixed.
For context, I've joined the Vagabonds, and am just about to cross the river with the Ferryman. 12 hours or so in.
WORLD:
So from a world standpoint, I appreciate the methodical, hands off approach to exploration. I have plenty of room to walk around town and check things out at my own pace. There's fun little stories and details tucked away everywhere, very akin to F3/FNV. F4 suffered from clutter, and areas that would constantly repopulate with enemies. This mod (that's basically a full game), feels like I'm interacting with the world and peeling open the rubble to see what's inside. Awesome!
DIALOGUE:
The dialogue from characters is great with some mixing issues here and there. What was a tad disappointing was how limited your dialogue options are. Very just-accept-the-quest-and-occasionally-ask-what's-going-on. But that's typical for a fan project, so I'll let it slide.
Original music, great actors with good quality mics.
STORY (so far):
Has some good mystery in the beginning, actually a better set up than F4, tbh. Rather than chasing after a son your character cares about (but not one the player does), the game gives good agency for your character and the player. You were in a lab, someone is overseeing this experiement that is you, and you want to find out more. I haven't gotten far enough to get those answers, yet, but I look forward to it.
CONCLUSION:
The pacing of exploration is key in a Fallout game. And this has it in spades. I'm always curious, I always see something or someone and want to find out more. The pacing with currency, ammo, and weapons is also perfect. I never feel too overpowered, but also know when to run away from a fight. Dialogue is good if limited in options for responses, and I'm excited to see where it goes. Also Churchill being a stocky loud lil lad is perfect for an English Bull Dog. 10/10 on doggo maxxing.
If you love TV shows like The Prisoner, The Avengers, 60s James Bond, Classic Doctor Who and Jerry Anderson’s live action tv
Shows. As well as computer games like Fallout, and Bioshock. Then you will be sure to love this.
The setting is dark sci fi, the quests are very British, the jokes are funny, the graphics amazing, as is the voice acting and the radio.
Best fallout game I’ve ever played.
Got one hit smashed to a bloody death by a roided out super mutant
There is a post boxer that talks to you and tries to kill you
What more could you ask for?
The setting is amazing.
It is truly a full and independent Fallout experience. It looks like Fallout, it feels like Fallout, it sounds like Fallout, the lore and dark humor are Fallout, they hit the lore and environment perfectly.
The voice acting is wonderful, and the music is just wow. Very well done.
It is also great to see some fresh new monsters, and weapons.
I have 10+ hours in at this point, and its phenominal.
I always save often in every Bethesda game, just push F5 every few minutes... its not hard...
I have had a few crashes, but honestly not that many.
I see alot of train bug crash references followed by something like, "ITS UNPLAYABLE!!! BUT, I AM EXTREMELY INCOMPETENT AND WILL COMPLAIN." I did experience the train bug crash, the simple fix is reload a prior save from inside the station and then go outside again, that took care of it instantly. A 30 second Google search would tell you this. I found it, you could too. Don't be a chode, the game works fine.
It is a wonderful experience, these people put their heart and soul into it, and they did it for free, out of the kindness of their hearts and love of Fallout, so give them alittle courtesy, and show some appreciation.
15/10
Great work, Team Folon!
