Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

For me it was unplayable experience that i dropped after 3 hours of trying to fix it and hour of actual "playing".
I`m got into the group of unlucky ones who have NO problem with crashes but really BAD problems with lag. Its unberable at some point.
Low/Medium goes with 90+ fps with textures even worse than original low/medium (at least for me with 2k monitor)
While high/ultra is VERY inconsistent 50-65 fps with really good looking textures.
But in the fact original game goes consistent ~130fps+ (cleared mod off the game, reinstalled my Steam version, downgraded like for the mod and got that result)
And the thing is nothing helps. Buffout 4, ini configs manipulation, more mods for stability and fps improvals. Nothing works unfortunately. Not even a slight improvement.
Maybe the problem is me using the downgraded Steam version. But if it is, it makes situation even worse due to fact HOW technically raw the mod is.
Hope it will be better several months in when i revisit it.
##Spoilers##
Up to now, it is seriously painful to play the game, I do not enjoy it at all. Switching from one area to another can take up to 2 minutes of waiting and that is with a very good PC.
During the beginning of the game, you end up outside and you get into a train, which at one point, is starting automatically. Thinking that it was a trap, I reload a quick save but only to see the same train continuing to go further in the distance with no option to get on it. Oups, it was important, but no matter what I try, I cannot end the first quest. So I manage to get back up on the tracks, I run all the way to that same train that seems stopped at another station and then "pouf", the screen changes and only then the first quest is over and you can start quest number 2. Not having found this, I would have walk endlessly around not being able to go any further in the game. For now, I just stopped playing because it is no fun at all.
The full conversion mod with the ambition of being a full game on its own.
In terms of level design, atmospheric setting, world building, character development and factions the mod sure surpasses the original Fallout 4. London and its locations are very well made. Factions and characters are very interesting. The British fallout atmosphere is very enjoyable and seems authentic. Sound design, the music as much as there at first sounds good, but gets repetitive, but fits the overall dark mood of the mod.
Story is good, but quite predictable. When at starting level I looked closely at mister x I knew who he was and who my character is.
But, then with all of this, two core things make this all concept in terms of gameplay and technical sphere very unenjoyable from the very start to the very end. The gameplay difficulty is very unbalanced. You can be killed all the time with one shot one kill, while all the enemies are bullet sponges. So many quests are not balanced. One hit killer mele boss in a small room. After beating him, there is somehow a spawn of about 40 mele enemies just waiting outside. A very long urban assault mission with enemies using grenade autoaim in the best traditions of Stalker Clear Sky. And there is always a shortage of bullets. So many quests are not properly tested before release, they tend to break often. And crashes they happen here and there, you never know when.
All in all this must be a result of lack of any lengthy and thorough beta testing, that may not be asked from a modding studio, but with such ambition they have for this mod, its a sad thing. Obviously for this mod the same hope applies as for original Fallout 4 - "Other moders will fix it"'. In the end after finishing the story line even when knowing there is two other endings, I have no will to play this ever again.
In conclusion great concept, great level of detail. Bad gameplay. Play at your own patience and sanity.
