Everspace 2 is an excellent game filled to the brim with content. Regardless of your genre of choice, Everspace 2 will definitely have something for you, from a fun, lengthy story, to intense space combat, to an endgame fueled by the hunt for better loot.

excellent game!
the ship manuevering feels very good and natural, gameplay overall is very nice, and the story has a decent amount of engaging content. Also... as a oldschool GoF2 player... its really cool seeing the continuation of that dev team pump out such great space games.

Great Space Combat Game
There aren't many really good space combat games around in 2025, this is probably one of the best. Excellent graphics and sound. Story is ok, good enough to keep you intereseted, but it's the combat that makes the game fun to play.

All-round improvement
Everything I liked about the first game, turned up to eleven. The combat is smooth and responsive, and there's enough break to collect loot and hunt for containers to make it interesting. The only thing "missing" compared to the first game (if you can call it that) is that this is a space RPG, rather than a roguelite-shooter. Yes, this time you actually get to pick the weapons you like and upgrade them instead of relying on RNG to hope you get lucky. (Well, still random drops, but now you can grind instead of having a couple of chances and done.) If you liked the first game, I'd definitely recommend.
