This is actually a great little game. Very reminiscent of the first Fallout in tonality. A lot of the reviews here were from early access and don't reflect the state of the game at launch. After a couple days and a few hours I have found it stable and a lot of fun.
I saw a bunch of bad reviews, but they were from when the game was in DEV. I'm playing it in Dec 2022, and this game is dope. Fallout 2 dope. I've happily sunk days into this game. Anyone who loves post-apoc. rpgs will love this game.
5-stars for this modern, old-school game
Really, really wanted to like this game, but there are just too many issues to overcome. I love the system and the background, and there are a ton of ideas the developers can play with, but things end up stilted and nonsensical once you're actually doing quests.
One issue, I think, was that there is just too much inspiration. Have to have an anomaly system like Stalker. Gotta have a Junktown and rads because Fallout. It would have been better with a tighter focus. As it is, it tries to do too much and suffers for it.
I've played the game at my friends account for a few minutes - don't want to ruing the experience for myself. What is very very concerning though - DLC already? You haven't finished the game for the love of God. Is this one of those dlc traps ?
This one remind me to classic CRPGs from the late 90's, games with plenty of options and a little bit of immersive sim.
The game has a fantastic and intriguing start, the combat is well done, the story is fantastic in the first part, but kind of rushed at the end, still I can recommend the game.
It's very replayable, has a good soundtrack, the combat is fun and the story deliver most of the time.
