Solid and overdue
I have experienced some issues already (cant scroll description window down during character creation, cutting off the majorioty of the descriptions) but its playable now and looks a bit better, I think I'll actually be able to stick with my campaign this try. (7-8th easily, always gave up early due to frustrations with jank) 3.5 stars currently, finish ironing it out and 4.5

So far, so good
I'm only a few hours in but so far i'm having a blast. graphics are better, sound is better, and unlike the version I first played back in 2000 - whenever, it hasn't crashed a single time. Yet. I really am having fun.

Unplayable with gamepad
The party member's AI forces you to micromanage each of them, which makes playing with a gamepad rather frustrating. And overall controls are super-clunky, like, for instance, the inventory is per character, so you have to go through a lot of menus to transfer a single item to another character. I don't recommend buying it, if your intention is to play with a gamepad.
