Wonderful little gem
I fell inlove with this game instantly. It's simple but challenging, and the aesthetic is very pleasing and enjoyable.

Simple and fun
Excellent little game to play between longer and more complex games. You simply match tiles and try to keep the game going for as long as possible. Matching them perfectly gives you a higher score which awards you more tiles to lengthen the game, but some tiles like the railways require you to keep them going and prevent the placement of other ones. Simple and addicting, but also requires some forethought to get good at.

Best Game Ever
Little to nothing more to say. This is the Best Game Ever. I feel a bit sad for Townscaper which I played loads before buying this. Haven't touched it since. Best Game Ever (298 hours played at time of review).

Unsatisfying and gets worse
It's a charming game... at first. Then it gets more and more frustrating. Like other games of this genre, it is designed to make you fail and the only question is when. If you get particularly unlucky the game might throw a tile with e.g. 5 railroads at you, guaranteeing that wherever you place it, it will mess up everything around it. There is no way to discard these, you are forced to place them. It will also punish you for playing well by forcing you to start new groupings with a very low target. For water tiles and railroads this is ridiculous because keeping them in one area is the only way to stay sane. Your strategy is always just trying to contain the damage, which ultimately makes it unsatisfying. Bad game design which never gets past the first act, and shits all over the board by the second.

This game changed my life
People always told me I should be more passionate—in life and in relationships. Since I started playing Dorfromantik, that’s changed completely. The game didn’t just inspire me—it performed a lobotomy and hardwired romanticism straight into my brainstem. Highly recommend. I now perceive the world permanently through rose-tinted glasses.
