As a forgotten entry in the DOOM series, DOOM 64 received some much-needed attention through its 2020 remaster. If you thought this was nothing more than a Nintendo 64 port, you thought wrong. This is a highly unique classic FPS experience, and the re-release brings it to wider audiences.

Good, but....
Obviously I'm going to have to buy a USB controller or something, because setting it up to use the keyboard has been an absolute frustrating nightmare. Why does it seem to have half a dozen or so keyboard setups running at once? Wouldn't one be sufficient? And since it's constantly cycling through them on the setup screen, it's difficult at best to tell if you're even setting up the same one each time you try to assign a key.

it kept crashing, not playable
I'm happy it was refunded, it kept crashing on W10 and completely stopped working for me and the publisher is just bad.

Trying to be something other, but fails
As someone who played Doom since it came out and read positive reviews about this, must say I'm just really disappointment. I get it, they were trying to create something exclusive for N64 and it is console so it has some limitations. But somehow it's just an average Doom clone from that time. I know, as wrote above that they made completely new engine and so on, but gameplay, atmosphere and all other things combine are just meh. Only reason why I played it because it has Doom in it's name, maybe that is the reason why went through whole game.
