Absolutely Amazing
This totally breathed new lif into OG Diablo! This is such a smoothly polished mod that you can't tell this isn't how the game was always meant to be.

Diablo 1 HD Mod (Belzebub)

The mod is fully playable in English. For other supported languages, localization is partial: while all UI elements remain in English, lore documents and quest content are translated.
Beelzebub, or Diablo I HD Mod, is a complex modification for the first installment of the Diablo series, which introduces a number of interesting improvements to the gameplay, a lot of new content and - most importantly - increased resolution.
Beelzebub enriches the cult Diablo series with a real mass of intriguing content, presenting it all in HD resolution. The modification adds new locations, missions, spells, skills and monsters, 204 unique items, 170 crafting recipes, several new character classes (Warrior, Sorcerer, Rogue, Necromancer or Barbarian), 28 sets and 105 set items, four difficulty levels available in the single player mode, as well as a host of other gameplay improvements. The developer has also thought of a few additions in terms of interface, support for widescreen, and - as we have already mentioned - full integration with the new Windows systems. There is no denying that there is a lot to it, so every fan of the series, especially of the ‘one’, will undoubtedly not pass by this modification indifferently.

A new touch on a classic.
I reinstall D1 every few years and lately i stumbled onto a Youtube Video showing this Mod, Belzebub come prepackaged from GOG. It make Diablo play nice on modern hardware and had a bunch of quality of life like modern resolution, zooming, item stash, fast town walk speed, waypoint, shortcut and so much. There is so much content. 2 new classes, new (and some cut) quest, a new belt system based on D2, 2 new page of spellbook, enemy champion and so on, it add so much to the game it's feel like a new game. Personally i love playing the sorcerer and trying to collect every spells, not only are there new spells to collect (and use), they have rebalanced drop rates. In the old days you could go through floor 1-4 and find 0 books, in this version, i always find a minimum of 2 books per floor. While some may not like modifying so much and mimicking a lot of D2, I feel it add a breath of fresh air into the old classic that is Diablo 1!
