Descent

Love the game so many mind twisting level of just blowing shit up. Love coming back over and over to play this game.

To tell you all I have really injoyed playing this 1 again, Descent was 1 game that certenly bought back a hell of a lot of nostouger & memory's, vertialy all through playing Descent it just bought about emotional feelings of times past, how ever having played & completed (Descent 1) when playing (Descent 2) I couldn't for some reason turn down the damned music I could only turn down the FX volume but not the damned music, The music in D2 is so bloody loud that it drains out the FX sound in the game and also I even tryed to go to setup to try & turn down music volume but cant for some reason, None the less I.ve certenly injoyed playing Descent 1 though

you have never played Descent?! why not? this is a classic joystick arcade style game. blast away in 360 degrees of 3D space, upgrade weapons and missles and kill the bad bots. theres a upgrade on the net to put the game in true hi res 3D. I had Descent 2 in my life I've been playing it a lot since I was young it used to belong to my big brother but I pay him for that game and it's mine, Descent 2 works on my win XP on disc but it depends of requirements that it may need to work on your XP computer. On 2009 I've ordered Descent 1 and try to see if it works on my XP but it was too fast and difficult for me to control and there is no sound at all which is not very compatible for XP so I tried playing it on my old laptop win 98 and it works great it plays musics but no sound at all just music :( on August 2009 I got a new Vista computer so I tried to install Descent II but had an error saying not compatible with the version of windows that I'm using and I think that game may not like the 64-bit Vista. Thanks to GOG that made Descent 1 & 2 very compatible for new modern computers like mine, I perches that game and it works pretty well not an error that will prevent me from playing Descent 1 & 2. If Descent II would have worked I wouldn't be able to end up looking at GOG and create an account.. Descent 1 & 2 are now stuck in my life lol but I might play my old disc of Descent 2 on my win 98 laptop and it works great on that too.

This game is a must have for any sci-fi fan, or anyone who claims to be into gaming. It just is fantastic as it presents a well written story, with a situation you can really emmerse yourself into. I really wish another would come out but alas the game industry says this type of game will not sell so no one is willing to make a similar game. It is the last of its kind, though I wish it was not true. Pick this game up if you want to see what old school gaming was like.
