Gloriously Terrible

This game is, in my opinion, a masterwork of hilariously bad decisions. This game is terrifying, but for all the wrong reasons. You won't be cringing from some horrible beastie, but instead from the last line of dialogue one of these poor people delivered. It is laugh out loud hilarious, and well worth your time if you're a fan of so bad that it's good material. Also, some of the game play is really quite fun. The combat works well, if it is a little repetitive, and there is tons of bonus content to locate. Also, words can not describe the schizophrenic glory that is the soundtrack. One of my all time favorites, and one of the worst games ever made. Enjoy.

Compelling, but buggier than an ant farm

Interesting game. Graphically, it's really poor with a horrible mixture of low and hi rez textures. Gameplay wise, it starts off awful, and has the worst driving phyiscs of any game I have ever played. And the crashes, god the crashes. This game crashes, crashes and then crashes some more. I have never had a peice of software ever crash so much as this. And yet... something oddly compelling about it, I would just grit my teeth, restart, and continue. Finished the game and the ending was just as odd as the beginning. Still, it was worth playing, at least once - I doubt I'll ever install and play it again though.

Crashing after chapter 3.

I did everything that i found in Internet, but nothing helped me with this. I even replaced my old save to some forum but it doesn't even launched so i just destroyed my progress. Suddenly, version in Steam helped me to beat that moment in the game, maybe because there's 1.01 version and there is only 1.00

Great Detective Game!

I played this game for the first time back when I had just left service from the military. It was enjoyable then and it's enjoyable now. The freedom to complete game objectives if and when I wanted to was new and it was welcomed. I've come back now to finish the game, and get to the bottom of this mystery.

Yes it has some flaws but ...

Yes the game has some flaws but if you are able to overlook them you really get a nice an uniqe game. The Community, especially Durante who also fixed Dark Souls, is working on a resolution fix and the possibility to change key bindings. The fix is now in alpha state and works fine with the GOG version of the game. It's no excuse for the developers but you really miss something if you pass this game. It's what Alan Wake should have been: an open world horror game.
