Cyberpunk 2077 has a good story line, character customization and gives the player the ability to make choices that impact the storyline, kind of reminds of Deus Ex in some aspects of gameplay.
Control scheme I would recommend to at least change the "Skip Dialog" button from "C" to something like "Page Down" to avoid skipping conversions (This can be done through the control scheme options).
There's no 3rd person as the player view is first person however you can drive vechicles in 3rd person and controls are similar to your basic driving game.
Good:
- Graphic and sound environment... It's awesome;
- World is vivid;
- Good gameplay and interesting quests;
Not good:
- A lot of technical problems such as animation fails, immortal enemies and its inadequate and unpredictable spawn;
- Some (promised) mechanics and other cool stuff was removed from final build;
- Citizens are creepy. I suppose the future is not so bright, especially in Night City, but the NPCs on the street are real freaks;
Summary:
It's a good, interesting game with an awesome cyberpunk vibe, but it has a lot of problems and I hope it get fixed. Also I suppose that some stuff was removed from game or wasn't finished. In other case I can not explain useless of foods, drinks and producing of weapons here. I often used it in Witcher, but never in Cyberpunk.
This game has just become one of my favorites. I'm 33 years old and life-long gamer.
I LOVED the narrative, loved the gameplay, the hacking minigames, the many ways in which you can go about your missions whether that's stealth or rifle-first or a combination of both. It's like having Hitman, GTA, and Fallout in one single game.
I loved the graphics, the level of attention to detail to the game world.
I loved how the side quests relate to the main quests boosting the immersion levels.
I loved the prologue, the twits and the endings.
I loved the hidden references to other sci-fi classics like Robocop, Madmax, Terminator and Matrix.
I loved Johnny Silverhand's as a character and Keanu's voice acting couldn't have been a better choice. It's fit the character just perfect.
I absolutely loved the tense, dark, dystopian but still realistic atmosphere that included elements such as gore and nudity but without overdoing it, just enough to get you an idea of what that world is like.
I'm a hardcore sci-fi lover and the narrative in terms of sci-fi was also very good. It's not hard to tell that the writers are sci-fi fans themselves.
Everyone at CDPR did an amazing job. Kudos to the writers, the level designers, the 3D artists, and artists in general, the programmers, kudos to everyone except the directors, who basically took a dump on the hard work of their team by releasing the game before it was fully done thus hindering its true potential as an icon for future generations.
I'm deeply saddened by the fact that the success of such a beautiful, story-rich, gameplay-rich astounding game has been jeopardized by the controversy of its launch.
I definitely would hate to see CDPR being sold to another BS corporation like Microsoft who would ruin everything that is good about CDPR's games.
I hardly every give reviews to games as I'm very picky, but this one deserved it. It's just excellent.
CDPR, please keep doing games like this one.
I like this game a lot, really a lot! The story's are great! Maybe the combat is a bit easy with some weapons but i have 63h in it! If you compare that with going to a amusement park it's very cheap! Yes there are some bugs but nothing you can't get around! Just buy this game and make them want to build another game, they can make the best games in the world and i want to play more of them!
I put 90 hours into my first playthru and loved it all. Yeah, there are some issues.. my biggest complaint was the driving controls- you could get used to it, but the cars never handled right. I also would see a number a visual glitches which were often funny, but didn't ruin the game for me. I think I only remember 1 instance of a game-breaking bug that forced me to reload. This is a game that encourages you to save often, so it wasn't a big deal.
What I liked? The story, the presentation, the voice acting. It was all top notch. The combat is very enjoyable At first I was annoyed by no 3rd person view, which I normally prefer, but after playing I understand why they did it. They wanted you too see everything thru V's eyes and it does work well.
