cant run it, have over 60 hours, displays wrong, last i play was 3 monts ago, great game, recommend if pc built different.

A shame, but as good a shame I've played
Look, you can read it elsewhere--CD Projekt Red did a number on marketing. This game was a little too ambitious for a little too long and did not perform on consoles as promised. There are cut features that may find their way in as DLCs later. The very anti-evil-capitalist message of the game was sadly undercut by the very real evil-capitalists that probably rushed this game too much--ironic. I only played this on PC and was excited but didn't know the extent of the lies until after I was finished. So I enjoyed the game with a healthy dose of ignorance. Without all that bad PR hanging over my head, I had a blast cruising around Night City. I'll play again the moment the next big update comes around. I hope CDPR gets their act together and their house in order for the next run.

Great difference from launch as of 1.3
I like the game but the story is quite rushed. The main character of whom you should be building a relationship with is not developed very well. The relationship is made through a cut scene that should really be the majority of your introduction to the game. There are side missions to help people and some of the side missions do have more emotional value than the main story. These side missions help you develop your skills and reputation. There are romance options available. Sadly some of them are gender locked. It still is nice however to have them. It may seem like a spoiler, but the biggest problem I have is the "No win scenario" of the overall game. Everyone likes at least the option of a happy ending. There isn't one. On launch the game did have numerous bugs messing up quests, graphical issues, etc. the major ones have been fixed and the game seems mostly stable. In addition to the adult content that already exists in the game, MODs from the community greatly enhance some of the content to customize your exprience. I am glad the adult content is here because in life it is there. Overall: it Needs the main story expanded and system resource usage better optimized to make a true gem. Pros: Graphics, futuristic environment, sticking it to the man Cons: resource hungry (in a bad way), Story missing content for continuity, no win scenario

One of the best games I played
I played the game on PC (version 1.31) and I must say it is a blast. There still are some minor bugs, but nothing that will stop you from having fun. You may find some items not possible to pick up (rolls of money on desks), some objects may not load correctly, and I wasn't able to finish one side quest (V's car disappeared). The main story is a shorter one, but with all the side quests and activities there is plenty of things to do. I don't want to make any spoilers, so I will only say that some of the side quests make you think (Can sins be redeemed? How would mind control affect the world around us?). Some people say that the game is linear because your dialog choices don't affect the main story, and it's kind of true, but it's not really how this game works. In Cyberpunk what matters is your actions, not dialog choices, and the game doesn't force you to follow one particular path (except the bare minimum to push the story). For example there is an optional quest line which gives you a completely different ending. I don't play many games, so this approach was kind of new to me, and was much more immersive than a "single dialog choice butterfly effect". There is another area where to me the game is quite innovative - dialog mechanics. In The Witcher, dialogs were movie-like, but in Cyberpunk there are no cut-scenes, almost all dialogs are fluid (you approach an NPC and start conversation, you can still walk around, loot, or whatever, and the NPC is fully animated - this works exceptionally well for FPP and I love it!). I can only imagine how many hours devs spent on making this work so well - kudos to the team! My advice to new players - play the game as you really were V, don't ready any guides (for the main story), don't look for the "perfect" path, and don't treat it as a sandbox type of game (it has many aspects of it, but it's not the main thing).

Fun and great on its own
I've played through this game on PC before all the larger updates hit. I logged over 100 hours in doing so, did almost every side mission, and I loved it. Yes, there were some bugs, but for me only graphical ones, and one side-mission-blocking one (dialogue not triggering) which I could fix through the console. This one is now fixed too. Jumped into it and ran around a bit after 1.5 and I am hyped for another playthrough to explore all story paths. Loved the small added details, improved traffic and NPCs (not disappearing anymore when you turn around), overall performance is great. As for all the hate: It was never meant to be "a Witcher in the Future". It was never meant to be a "gameplay revolution". It was hyped a lot, yes. But every serious PC gamer knows that Hypes are not always indicative of the finished product. Remember the renders of the F16 from Strike Commander, advertising those screens as "possible in-game graphics"? Yeah, right :D Some people fell for that too, they just didn't have the Internet to rant about it. Or about the hours it took on a slow 486 to install the floppy version. Anyway, back to Cyberpunk: The game stays true to its original (campy) late 80s pen&paper rpg source material. People who actually played this (which came out a year prior to the more commonly known Shadowrun) will recognize places, people, settings and so on. And even in its original form, it gave you a great feeling of "being there" in the city. Regarding the story arc: The first and second act are quite tightly knit and don't allow for much deviation. The middle arc is basically where all the freeroaming happens. Fine for me, also the conclusion fits the source material pretty well. The ones saying it is too shallow: That's what 90s pen&paper RPGs were, d'oh! Ever played D&D 2nd edition? Yeah. In the end: A great game for Cyberpunk P&P fans, a bad game for Witcher and Shadowrun fans.
