An incredible game.
The game is downright gorgeous and the gunplay feels satisfying and fun. A great roleplay experience on par with an Obsidian game. The bugs I've encountered have been surface level; nothing that renders the game unplayable, and I have the utmost confidence CDPR will have no problem squashing them. Plays just fine on my 1080ti @ 1440p with ultra graphics settings. Most of the poor reviews I see criticize superficial aspects of the game and suffer from a complete lack of perspective and an overabundance of hype. You bought a game day one and are angry that it's buggy? Only 3 genital sizes to choose from? The developers weren't able to read your mind and implement a 10 hour prologue for the Nomad path where you grind until you have enough money to make it into Night City? Give me a break. No game is going to be perfect, and no matter what game CDPR released, these people wouldn't have been satisfied. They are expecting perfection from day one which is just naive, and if any aspect of the game doesn't match their blown-up expectations, they throw a tantrum. This game implements systems and novel game ideas I've seen gamers gripe about the lack of for more than a decade, and it seems to me that has been completely overlooked. Remember when Witcher 3 dropped and it was buggy as all hell? It had LOADS of problems, and now it's the darling of gamers everywhere. CDPR has shown that they genuinely care about the quality of their products, and I'm confident this will get the same polish and elbow grease the Witcher 3 got post release. I'm not pretending that the game is perfect. I don't feel as if your choices have the same weight and scope as they do in the Witcher 3, but in the scheme of things, this game is miles better than most of the trash that is released these days by AAA studios. And unlike Ubisoft or EA, CDPR actually seems to care about their fanbase and producing high quality experiences.

Damned if they did damned if they didn't
If I had to use one word to describe the game, it would be "rich" but I think the reach of CDPR exceeded its grasp just a bit on this, at least with way the long development timeline ended up finishing. Firstly, global pandemics don't come around often and there's not really a playbook for handling them. Then were painted into a corner by delays and couldn't push it any further without additional screeching from impatient fans. Those delays landed them into a difficult spot with the new consoles dropping. There's only so much people can do to optimize on all of the consoles during a console generation change. I had some day-one crashes but those were fixed fast. I'm literally using the oldest allowable processor in a 3570K and a dated GTX 1070 and I can run it at 1440 on High without issues and I haven't found any glitches that are noticeable and certainly none that have impacted quest completion. In my personal experience, it's an absolute masterpiece and I've enjoyed every minute. It's a shame that's not everyone else's experience too but I have to credit the developers and the team and thank them for their work. I hope the negative feedback from fans doesn't put them off.

One of the best game ever made
This game is one of the best game ever made, yes it's flawed and doesn't really "hit" our current society... but the story it tells... oh my this story... I don't think I ever saw a game with a story that powerful, and that GOOD. The game is getting trashed because people expected a sandbox... instead we got something better: one of the best story ever told in a video game. Yes it's kinda buggy, yes it's not optimized... but I mean who cares? This will be fixed in 6 months at most anyway. Congratulation CD Projekt Red, and congratulation writers, you really made a masterpiece. Thank you for showing other high budget games how to write stories.

5 Stars for the future
Ok, as it is, in version 1.04 (less than a week after release), the game is not a 5 star game. I'd probably give it 3 or less if it were just stay in it's current state. It looks AMAZING! Night City is huge and fun to just get lost in. It is a huge accomplishment for CDPR. That said, it definitely could have used more time in the oven. It currently feel like more of an open beta than a final product. It's buggy, there are clear oversights, and in my experience at least, you need to be prepared to reload saves a lot. Either because something in a quest is broken or because the framerate will suddenly drop for no apparent reason. Fortunately, I know CDPR is still continuing to work on it, and eventually we will get that amazing game we've been looking forward to. For that, I give it 5 stars, because I can see the direction that it's clearly headed in. But if you want it to run flawlessly on your first playthrough, you might want to hold off for just a little while. On a side note, if you're going to be able to customize even down to genitalia, and you're taking the male route, does anyone honestly go for the "small" option? Seems like a waste of programing time to me. Haha!
