This game has no soul

It's a pseudo-edgy ego-shooter with skill trees, set in a lifeless "open" world. It's a bona fide cringe fest. The story feels like fanfic written by a bunch of 15 year olds who have only recently got their first whiff of nihilism, bawling their eyes out about how the world is cruel and they just don't matter. Keanu and the protagonist constantly trying to out-edgelord one another started going on my nerves real quick. Yea, Johnny is a dick, but V's responses are not exactly an indicator as to how smart or even just mentally stable they are. V is an idiot. Why are you forcing me to play as an idiot? And who wrote those romance sequences? This is not how people act around those they're attracted to and this is also not how people fuck! Go the fuck away, Panam! Buy this one if you're into technical issues. Because the game offers those, for instance: - Cars spawning in walls or other cars - NPCs have no purpose. Whenever they hit an obstacle, for instance, they simply turn around and continue walking in the opposite direction. I mean... are they all just wandering aimlessly or does at least one of them have a place they're going to? - my car is regularly driving with 10% of its wheel beneath the road's surface, and when it's not doing that, it's floating slightly above it - Radio music constantly changes volume. You start driving, a great jam comes on, but at the next turn or corner, for no apparent reason, your car radio sound just goes down to 10% of what it was before. Exit car, re-enter, everything resets to normal. Does that happen by design or is it just shitty coding? TLDR: ROFLMAO OMG COME LOOK AT THIS! I can change my dick size hahaha isn't that hilarious!? *giggles childishly*

Tickles all of my sci-fi geekery needs

For context, I've logged in around 600+ and I'm only on my second playthough. Got this game when it was on pre-order, so I was pretty excited to play it. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. But that's not to say there were some things I'd wish the developers would include. Firstly, I didn't suffer any of the game-breaking mechanics or glitches that would stop me from progressing or negatively affect my gameplay. There were some weird visual bugs such as t-posing, NPCs and cars popping in and out of existence, but that's about it. There was one of the patches where clothing mods that disappeard or had its rarity reduced to lower tiers than legendary whenever there was a braindance sequence but that's fixed now. What I love about the game is the immersion experience, the personal experiences of characters that made me feel connected with them, not just the love interests but also the people you would interact with in the game. There are characters who you love, who you would love nothing more than to put your fist to their faces, and characters who would make you exasperated and yet I can't help liking them for who they are. The city and the badlands feels alive, and expansive. Exploration is always fun to do and I find myself spending time in the game, just being in the game. Walking around, watching the city, hanging out in the Hollywood version of the city, looking at the view, or even just being out in the badlands to just experience being there. What I would to see, or included in the game in the future updates if there is: 1. A bit more content with your chosen love interest. Not just in the text but the calls too. 2. Minigames. Like the illegal races. Please include bikes. And fist fights, more of this. Maybe even a hackerman comp. 3. A higher level maybe. An additional 10 more would allow for a lot more flexible builds to play around with the attributes you invested in.

Technically well made, most bugs have probably been solved at this point because the few I've seen were minor, and fixed with a quickload/quicksave (F4/F9). It must have been a bit too ambitious considering the noise when it came out. The city feels very busy, civilians can get chaotic in a panic which can be funny. Bikes are the best with this amount of traffic. There's lots of gigs and jobs to do, builds to try. I liked the skill and tech trees, in normal difficulty it's easy enough you can manage even if you spread out and try different things. The melee in particular was very decent, which is rare for a fps: I'm usually extremely disappointed because most pale in comparison to vermintide. It's tough in the beginning, but I particularly loved going monowire or baseball bat. The story is great, although a bit of a downer, which does fit the general theme of the cyberpunk world. Side quests were great, brought a lot to the table imo. Feels like i've finished a good book. I definitely expected a lot less, glad to be proven wrong.

Cyberpunk 2077 - A nice Story

After years of replaying the game, looking at patches, and being a little excited for the upcoming DLC, I wanted to write my review. Cyberpunk 2077 does alot of things right. The Storytelling is pretty good / Voice acting / writing The game looks fantastic. Combat feels great. / Skilltrees got patched / Animation for melee combat fixed Great Soundtrack Now the negatives --- I saw many patchnotes and changes that were made for the game. I don't think that these patches fixed all of the problems. Now we have Phantom Liberty right on the doorstep and I am a bit cautious about my experience. The PC port was fine on release. I don't have a crazy machine powering my game. It's pretty dated, like Witcher 3 release dated, tho it runs fine on high settings with some frame drops here and there. Now after a majority of patches I noticed that the combat was fixed, the item pick up got fixed alot of tech issues and overall performance boosted. Sounds great until now my game has problems. When I drive too fast, night city has problems catching up and crashing. I solve a side quest and want to ride my bike, it crashes. Sometimes I can't use my weapons, my run button gets stuck so that I can't run anymore. Its is super annoying to restart the game now very frequently. Customization is weak. No real augmentations that will show on your character besides arms. No vehicles that can be customized. The new apartments can't be customized except color swaps for interiors. I wish I could be more immersed in the game. No NPCs interactions, sit down, eat, drink etc. No activites what so ever. No watchable BDs even tho you have a BD. No music that you buy can be listened somewhere. The Radiostations are not that great. Maybe 10% I actual enjoy listening to. So after finishing every quest the city feels very lifeless, which is sad because it looks good that I want to get invested into it more and maybe find more lore shards. Tho it is super fun to play and has alot of replay value.

Finished CP2077. It's a no-brainer.

Old-school gamer here. Mario, Metal Gear, Street Fighter, Zelda, Baldur's Gate, Monkey Island, Half-Life, Fallout, KOTOR, Dragon Age, Pillars of Eternity, Larian Studios, Hollow Knight, Witcher etc etc etc. Don't kid yourself, this is a five star game. Just buy it.
