I bought CP2077 as pre-order againts a promise to myself that i'll never buy a game that way. Would I wait after everything I know now? Yes.
Prefered to run anywhere rather than driving - driving WAS awful, it's much better now - and you can meet some chooms or gigs on the road anyway. I prefer games with well writen characters and story over graphics, and CP2077 had the first two from the start. Graphics were "good" but chunks of missing maps, cars vanishing under the map, invisible walls out of nowhere etc...It was exhausting. Luckly REDs took all critisising to heart and make it their mission to fix the game. And then update after update game was more put together (and yes it should be like that from the start). DLC with amazing characters, choices, and that STORY! And here we are now on update 2.2. I'm over 420 hours and on my fifth playthrough. Easter eggs are all around, you'll jump from the bridge and probably find some.
Play around with game options, disable all HUD, go with your gut and have fun!
I saw many disappointed fans online - mainly console players - but those on PC, if you played this game right after premiere and dropped it, give it another chance. To new and old chooms: Welcome to Night City - City of Dreams.
