Game crashes on start-up
I wish I could review the gamePLAY but I have focus on the game, because it will not even launch. Options and extras of GOG are great, but so far NO advice has helped me. I tried hours installing the game (via GG and offline), reinstalling drivers, frameworks and whatnot, but sadly to no avail. Still crash on start-up. I hope we get a fix soon - otherwise it gets refunded for the time being.

A generic AAA title ( December 2020)
This is what happens when you optimize the game for consoles and release on PC. Graphics TL;DR: Texture pop-ins on HDD ("Slow HDD mode" changes absolutely nothing), TAA, textures load extremely slowly, low framerate. Seemingly feature-rich graphics that nevertheless look disgusting is a hallmark of a game that was optimized for consoles. TAA... To this day I have absolutely no idea why developers keep using this q0g5h1t anti-aliasing algorithm. Probably has something to do with optimizing for consoles. Story TL;DR: It is good. Not as good as Wild Hunt, but on a decent level that you would expect from an RPG. Speaking of RPGs... Gameplay TL;DR: This isn't an RPG, it is a shooter with a perk tree. Perks themselves are very underwhelming. They don't change the way you play, they simply improve the numbers - this attack deals more damage, that quickhack now reduces resistances by 30% more, more carry weight, etc., etc. You can get different guns, upgrade them and slap mods on them. Same for clothes. Equipment is levelled, so headshots aren't instakills. Think Destiny. Bugs TL;DR: They are everywhere. They don't like players who explore. They want people to walk from one objective to another mindlessly, without veering off the trail. If you try to screw around (jump on railings, try to climb a hose, etc.) you'll 100% of the time encounter a bug. One time I tried to get onto my motorcycle - which was extremely muddy (1990-Harry-Potter-game muddy) and was in the process of texture loading - and I ended up being catapulted into a food stand behind me. I died. Ultimate TL;DR: Destiny + open world + cyberpunk setting + writers from CDPR + bugs + developers focusing on and prioritizing consoles over PC = Cyberpunk 2077 Wait a year or two while they finish the game. Only then buy it.
