Just in advance this game is great in concept. It works well if you like this style of gameplay. The looting feels good and your charcater is highly customizable. You also can spent a lot of time exploring the map and all the different sidequests hidden within its many corners.
But be WARNED:
-The game is still very buggy which will hopefully be adressed in the future patches.
-!!!Create a savefile BEFORE you enter the final mission and NEVER overwrite that save!!!
You might get stuck after the credits and be forced to load an older savefile which might set you back hours.
I would like to recommned this game to everyone but at this point I cannot do so because of its many problems so buy at your own risk.
If this game gets patched in the future and all the major bugs are fixed feel free to disregard everything I worte above and get yourself this otherwise great game.
- Ran closer to 60 FPS instead of 144 FPS like I hoped:
Running a 2K resoltion, on a 2080Ti and AMD Ryzen 3950x, I got jut shy of 60 FPS on just about any
preset graphics setting, including Ray Tracing. Was hoping for closer to 144 FPS based on what I saw for recommened system requirements.
- The different gang factions are nearly all the same in the end, just different small groups of mobs to attack and loot. Next to no difference in play style needed to approach them.
- Driving is okay at best. Accelerate fine, braking takes a while and handeling is either fairly high or way too low. Motorcycles feel like you have the turning radius of a train more than anything.
- No spoilers, but it felt like there were multiple times were narration from key charcaters didn't line up with where you were in the game. Like if you had progressed somewhere or a made a choice, they would act like you hadn't got there or made a different choice or none at all.
- General bugs all over the place. I've played other games that eventually get this worked out, but some of them are just bad/annoying.
- A lot lacking from the marketing promo videos, and original promises. The game just isn't done.
- Other general gripes:
Consumables are useless and just weigh you down
Key binding is lacking
World is bland, the NPCs are dense in a few areas, all boring, no-talking, or even little random "hey help me!" quests
The map is ambiguous, there are some different icons for certain tasks but otherwise everything is a ! in a circle. Have to hover over everything to figure out what it is.
Whats the point of the dick choice? It does nothing as far as I can tell. It's even hidden by default underwear in some scenes where you'd expect it.
Maybe it was just my build, but the perk tree felt kinda useless
How the company and managemenet handled this game is really just sad.
I don't feel like I be excited about them and their work anymore.
Welcome the new Bethesda
Any other game studio would be bankrupt after putting up a scam like this.
Why do people keep justifying it, just because the graphic look good?
FANBOYISM is the word.
CDPR is dead to me.
It's like paying 60 bux for a Beatles concert ticket, only to see a local cover band perform which carries the same name. you would feel scammed too and would want your money back and would never want anything to do with the frauds.
After the 'updates' some parts of the game broke even more.
Only an up close headshot can save this game....
