Croc's levels feel dated amongst it's contemporaries today but that doesn't stop it from being a cheerful journey from the adventure's beginning to it's triumphant conclusion.

A solid remaster for modern times.

Croc was already a great game and the remaster makes it better. The one thing that stood out to me was the improved controls. The modern controls don't feel out of place and make the gameplay flow as well as it did in 1996. For those who prefer the old style of controls you can switch them. The newer visuals make the game look fantastic on both older and modern visuals with a solid framerate. Give the game a chance if you're new to the series or buy it if you're a Croc fan. Hopefully they'll remake Croc 2 as well.

Does not include all of the music.

The control and visual revamps are great, and I encourage people who have never played the original game to give it a try. I am personally unable to fully enjoy this release as they forgot a sizable chunk of the music from the original ps1 release! Hopefully they decide to include the missing tracks in the future!

Where is keymapping !!!

The game looks good but no keymapping in 2025 is crazy. I can't have full joy from playing because I remember old movement. I hope they will fix it, actually I can give max 3 on 5.

No keymapping

I'd give it 5 stars if the remaster version had the option to change controls on the keyboard. I have been playing the original game for years with custom mapping and not being able to use it with the remaster is very strange. Other than that only positives.

An excellent remaster!

One of the best ways to experience Croc for newcomers and people who loved the original. I'm very happy with the improvements of the controls and flows way better compared to the og game. The visuals of the remaster gives a updated look but still keeps the original artstyle intact. Also, you have the option to switch from the updated visuals to the retro look on the fly which is greatly appreciated. The amount of bonus content is something I wasn't expecting from seeing developer interviews, promos, design documents, to beta builds and a full pitch bible for a cancelled Croc tv show. Honestly I wished more video game franchises can get remasters like this with the amount of bonus content and modernized features that doesn't take away the original experience. There's so much love and attention from the developers, I recommend this game if your a fan of the series or is new to the franchise.
