Good, but not great.
This is a fun top-down shooter, and is much better adapted to the PC than many other games in the genre. It's worth picking up on sale.

Fine shmup
Works fine with play onlinux , 60 fps and xbox pad recognized and vibration works. NIce shmup (played for about 45 mins )

If only...
If only I could understand what I am doing, perhaps I could enjoy the game. In all honesty, I have no clue how I managed to reach 3rd or 4th stage. Is a bloody mess of everything. And those stars flying everywhere. Gosh... is just bad.

Good over the top bullet hell.
Well, this is a very good shoot em up. Funny, spectacular and replayable. A steal if you get this discounted. Just remember to play with an arcade stick or a digital dpad, like it is supposed to. Just something, don't get overexcited with the 5 stars hype reviews. I really don't know if devs or just low expectations folks write them or what, but GOG is full of hyping and misleading reviews. If you want the best shoot em up for PC get Ikaruga, for example. Just remember that you are supposed to use a single credit per game.

Boring
About the dullest shoot 'em up I've ever played. No real variety in enemies or strategy in how you play. Held my interest for a short time, until I realized that it wasn't even worht bothering to dodge, other than to get a higher score (big whoop-di-do). I’d much rather play a game that requires you to actually use your brain and skills to get through it (just a couple examples: Life Force and Guardian Legend from the Nintendo day were far superior to Crimson Clover). I got so bored with it, that I just placed a weight on the fire button and let it run, while I ate my dinner, and occasionally pushed OK to continue. The only reason I even bothered to do that was out of curiosity to see the remainder of the game. Even that wasn’t worth it. Truly the ONLY point of the game it to make things sparkle and flash as the blow up and get points... There's nothing more to the game than that. In a word: Lame.
